Q1: Create four sentences for each of the four types of sentence structures (simple,
compound, complex, and compound-complex) utilizing our classroom scenarios or
discussions as examples to illustrate their distinct uses. For instance, our teacher gives
relatable examples in the class to keep us motivated.

Answer:

Simple:
1. The Arabs greet each other by kissing.
2. You are my favorite students.
3. Talk in English.
4. I did my PhD on Thor movie.

Compound:
1. Foreigners prefer Snapchat, but Pakistanis prefer WhatsApp.
2. The women of the same age greet each other by hugging, but the women of
different ages greet each other by shaking hands.
3. I am an encoder, and you guys are decoders.
4. Ma’am Uzma likes fries, but she doesn’t like brinjal.

Complex:

1. My father said, ‘Are you American?’ because I said, ‘Give me a spoon’ in English.
2. Because I don’t wear long heels, so when I would wear them, you would know it’s a
special day.
3. I don’t enjoy weekends because I am alone at home.
4. It’s a fact that the less you eat, the more fat you will become.

Compound-Complex:
1. I never forget anything because I still remember some weeks ago you people came
late in class with long faces, and I knew something happened.
2. You don’t shake hands with an authoritative person because it’s not right, and if you
do, he will not think highly of you, which may affect your professional interactions
negatively.
3. Because I never saw Ma’am Uzma angry, she is the nicest, and she always smiles.
4. Don’t sit in the back in class, and if you ask questions consistently, the teacher will
remember you, which can be beneficial for your grades.
