SITE MANAGER

The Site Manager is responsible for ensuring employees work in a safe and responsible manner and perform
the services to specifications stated in the contract. Duties also vary depending on the size of the
organization and the number of employees, among other factors. In general, these responsibilities include:
Creating, communicating, and implementing the organization's vision, mission, and overall direction
The Site Manager is responsible for and not limited to the following duties:
 Implementation of site-specific HSE including mobilization checklists within the specified
timetables.
 Reporting on the performance of the HSE systems to the Ops. Manager
 Ensuring that all corrective action taken is completed and effective and leads to continuous
improvement of the operations at the site.
 Maintaining a safe work environment.
 Consulting with employees on all HSE matters.
 Ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements (DRC) & international standards (ISOs);
 Conducting visual and formal HSE inspections in consultation with employees.
 Analysing all work activities under their control to ensure that hazards have been identified and
controlled.
 Ensuring that all materials, gear, and equipment (including personal protective equipment) needed to
carry out the job safely, are provided prior to commencing work.
 Ensuring that work activities do not adversely affect or endanger other.
 Conducting regular staff meetings to discuss health & safety issues.
 Ensuring all work is carried out by suitably qualified, trained, and competent personnel.
 Reporting, recording, and investigating all incidents within our work area.
 Immediately investigating all hazards reported and implementing measures to control or eliminate
such hazards.
 Conducting a job orientated site induction for all new starters.
 Supporting and assisting with the rehabilitation of employees by encouraging early return to full
duties through work-based rehabilitation programs
 Leading the development and implementation of the overall organization's strategy
 Soliciting advice and guidance, when appropriate, from a Board of Directors
 Formulating and implementing the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business or
organization.
 Overseeing the complete operation of an organization in accordance with the direction established in
the strategic plans.
 Evaluating the success of the organization in reaching its goals
 Looking at potential acquisitions or the sale of the company under circumstances that will enhance
shareholder value.

 Representing the organization for civic and professional association responsibilities and activities in
the local community, the state, and at the national level
 Additionally, the Site Manager must ensure that the organization's leaders experience the
consequences of their actions whether through reward and recognition or performance
coaching and disciplinary actions. Without responsibility and accountability that is actively expected
and reinforced, the Site Manager will fail to attain desired success and profitability.

DUTIES OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEER


Key Responsibilities/Duties
During our project the engineer in charge of the project will have the following duties

 Designing High Voltage & Medium Voltage protection and control systems
 Developing and reviewing schematic drawings and single line diagrams
 Installation of & developing HV/MV system studies including protection coordination, arc flash,
voltage regulation, load flow and fault level reports
 Detailed design covering all aspects of high and medium voltage equipment.
 Detailed design of secondary control and protection systems
 Specification, selection, and procurement of the range of equipment
 Be proficient in the use of tools and test equipment required for routine maintenance and testing
of substation components, including transformer turns ratio testers, DLRO (Digital Low
Resistance Ohmmeter), hi-pot testers, breaker testing equipment, and relay test instruments.
 Maintain test equipment calibration and associated records.
 Inspect equipment for malfunctions.
 Conduct periodic audits of team LOTO programs and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
 Ensure safe use of additional equipment such as man lifts, bucket trucks, forklifts, and aerial
platforms, cranes.
 Carrying out feasibility studies for new technical developments
 Drawing up project plans, making models, prototypes and circuit diagrams for high and low voltage
electrical equipment or transformer’s installation
 Budgeting and estimating timescales.
 Overseeing technicians and craftspeople
 Testing installations and systems
 Ensuring projects meet safety regulations.
 Overseeing inspection and maintenance programmes
 Liaising with clients
 Prepare specifications, calculations, drawings, and construction packages for major and complex
high voltage electrical, systems, equipment, and processes. This would include development of singe
lines, substation layouts, substation component selection, grounding studies and design, clearances,
protection studies, cabling sag and tension studies, reporting and cost estimating.

 Perform quality assurance and quality control by checking project documents in accordance with
corporate, national and client standards.
 Participate in the mentoring of engineering and design personnel.
 Ability to independently organize and prioritize work assignments and coordinate a variety of tasks,
with good attention to detail and ability to deal with conflicting priorities and deadlines.
 Collaborate with other engineering disciplines: Civil, Structural, etc. as needed.
 Other duties as assigned.
 Must maintain active status in a drug and/or alcohol testing consortium.

SAFETY MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing company's employee safety at
work. Main duty is to ensure that the company complies and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety
(OHS) guidelines.

As a Safety Manager, will be responsible for facilitating compliance with occupational health and safety
(OSH) guidelines. Main goal will be to always ensure safe working environment and prevent any injuries
and accidents.

Safety Manager duties and responsibilities


 Assist the Safety Officer and the site management in implementing the safety and health requirements,
standards and instructions.
 Be familiar with the statutory regulations applicable to the work on which our workforce is engaged;
insist that the regulations are observed and followed, and all accidents reported immediately.
 Keep all staff informed of the Safety Policy and take all reasonably practicable steps for carrying it out.
 Incorporate safety instructions in routine orders and see that they are obeyed.
 Take all reasonable steps to prevent workers from taking risks.
 Assist the safety Officer in arranging new employees, particularly inexperienced and apprentices or new
recruits to receive site specific safety induction course and to learn to take safety precautions. Ensure
that protective clothing and equipment are used whenever appropriate.
 Discourage “horseplay” and reprimand those who fail to consider their own safety and that of others.
 Report to the immediate supervisor on any defects and ensure that any unsafe plant and equipment are
not used.
 Ensure that all plant and equipment are in a safe and secure state when left unattended.
 Remind the management to replenish first aid boxes at regular intervals.
 Report to the management and/or Safety Officer on matters relating to safety and health.
 Plan and implement OHS policies and programs.
 Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics.
 Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis.

 Review existing policies and procedures.


 Adhere to all the rules and regulations.
 Work with HR to set up a new employee on-boarding process for safety.
 Conduct risk assessment.
 Enforce preventative measures.
 Recruit and hire new safety employees.
 Train, manage and guide your staff.
 Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations.
 Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes.
 Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety.
 Carry out risk assessment and prepare safety method statements, including control measures for high
and medium risk activities as necessary.

SAFETY OFFICER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety officer responsibilities include:


 Report to safety manager.
 Conduct Toolbox Talks for workers.
 Compile safety programs
 Practice safe working techniques.
 Conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) with employees as required.
 Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
 Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees.
 Maintain compliance of all safety regulations.
 Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques.
 Standardize health and safety to remain consistent.
 Identify hazardous waste and disposal of it correctly.
 Promote safety initiatives.
 Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance.
 Document staff information, minutes of meetings, and reports compiled for management.

 Assist his proprietor/employer in the implementation of the
 Safety Policy and the safety and health requirements as
 stipulated under the law and the works contract, such as the site.
 safety manual, the site safety handbook, and other safety and
 health standards and instructions.
 Assist in ensuring that all plant, machinery, equipment, and tools are maintained in safe working order.
 Assist in ensuring that all fire services installations and fire escapes are maintained in good working
order.
 Assist in ensuring the safe and health condition and good housekeeping in the workplace.

 Conduct safety inspections to project sites, plants and workshops, and prepare inspection reports.
 Ensure the observance of the safety rules and safe practices by the staff,
 Report to the site management any unsafe practices and unsafe conditions in the workplace. Prepare and
submit statutory reports to the proprietor/employer.
 Conduct accident investigation and prepare investigation reports; and recommend preventive measures
to avoid recurrence.
 Organise/conduct safety training courses and seminars and prepare training records.
 Arrange and organise safety promotion activities.

Safety Officer Requirements:


 Valid competency certificates.
 Registration as a Health and Safety Officer.
 Strong communication skills.
 Minimum of 1 years’ experience in this position.
 Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
 English as working language.

QUALITY CONTROLLER

Quality Controller Responsibilities:

 Report to QC/QA manager


 Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis.
 Gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external
auditors and inspectors.
 Inspect site installation according to QCP.
 Compile quality data books
 Devising, improving, and reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and
training staff to use them.
 Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health
and safety guidelines.
 Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final
products.

Quality Control Manager Requirements:

 Minimum college diploma in science or technology.


 Previous experience in construction quality control.
 knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
 Excellent communication and listening skills.

SITE PLANNER

Site planner responsibilities: •


 Work with project team to develop and maintain detailed schedules of construction projects using MS
Project software.
 Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, base line, status, and perform measurement
baseline.
 Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports: Gantt, milestone charts, and other tools used to
support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work, priority-based resource allocations, performance
variances, and to support cost/schedule integration.
 Frequent on-site visits to review construction progress required.
 Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects,
including dashboard maintenance.
 Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews. Maintain accurate records/paperwork.

Qualifications:
 Minimum of 2 years of construction project experience using MS Project.
 Subject matter expertise using MS Project to manage an integrated master schedule and the supporting
detailed schedules.
 Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills
 Excellent communication skills.
 English as working language.
