 Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the longest flyover in the state, which has
been named Nilachal flyover after the Nilachal hills. Its total length is 2.63 kilometers and it has been
built from Maligaon Chariali to Kamakhya Gate in Guwahati.

 Tharman Shanmugaratnam was elected as the 9th President of

Singapore.

 Mohun Bagan Super Giant won the Durand Cup 2023 (Football) title
by defeating East Bengal 1-0 at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata,
West Bengal.

 India wins Men’s Hockey 5s Asia Cup 2023 held in Salalah, Oman.

 A Hyderabad-based robotics firm (Grene Robotics) has unveiled a

state-of-the-art AI-powered anti-drone system named Indrajaal. This
system can not only protect important installations like nuclear
installations, and oil fields but can also protect entire cities from any
type of drone. Indrajal is designed to defend against all types of
drones in an area of 4,000 square kilometers.

 Gabon military leader Brice Oligui Nguema has been sworn in as the
country's interim President. Gabon is a Central African country
located along the Atlantic coast. Its capital is 'Libreville'.

 On September 6, 2023, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the
world heritage monument site Sanchi located in Raisen district as the First Solar City.

 Pakistan's star batsman Babar Azam has become the fastest batsman to score 2,000 runs in One Day
International cricket.

 Sabudana (Salem Sago (Javvarisi)) of Salem district of Tamil Nadu state has recently been given a
GI tag (Geographical Indication). Salem is the largest sago-producing district in the state of Tamil
Nadu. Along with this, a GI tag has also been given to black rice of Odisha state. GI tag is given to
specific products produced in a certain geographical area.

 19-year-old American tennis player Coco Gauff has won the US Open 2023
women's singles title.

 The African Union has been included as a new permanent member in the G20 summit held in New
Delhi under the chairmanship of India. With this, there are 19 countries and two unions (European
Union and African Union) in this group.

 India's Under-16 football team has won the title of SAFF U-16 Championship 2023 by defeating
Bangladesh 2-0 in the final. The final of the tournament was held at Changlimithang Stadium in
Thimphu, Bhutan. India's Suraj Singh was awarded as the best goalkeeper of the SAFF U16
Championship.

 Serbia's Novak Djokovic won his fourth US Open men's singles title by
defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final at Flushing Meadows, New York.
This was his 24th Grand Slam title.

 India's star batsman Virat Kohli has become the fastest batsman to complete 13000 runs in One Day
International cricket. Kohli achieved this milestone in just 267 innings.

 Indian badminton player Kiran George won the men's singles title in
Indonesia Masters 2023.

 Shantiniketan (West Bengal) has been declared as a World Heritage Site by

UNESCO.

 India won the Cricket Asia Cup 2023 title by defeating Sri Lanka held at R
Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

 Hoysala temples of Belur, Halebid, and Somnathpur, the 'Hoysala group

of sacred temples' located in Karnataka, have been included in the
UNESCO World Heritage List.

 Indian shooter Elavenil Valarivan won the gold medal in the women's 10-
meter air rifle event in the ISSF World Cup. The ISSF World Cup 2023 was
organized in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

 India's young wrestler Antim Panghal won the bronze medal in the women's 53 kg category in the
World Championship in Belgrade, Serbia.

 India's women's cricket team won the gold medal by defeating Sri Lanka in
the final of the Asian Games 2023 held in Hangzhou, China.

 India won its first gold medal in the Asian Games 2023. Aishwarya Pratap
Singh, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and Rudrankksh Patil topped the 10m air
rifle men's team event. This Indian trio won the gold medal in the 10-meter
air rifle with a world record score of 1893.7.

 India has won its third gold medal in Equestrian dressage in Asia Cup 2023.

 Shooter Sift Kaur Samra won India's 5th gold medal in the 19th Asian
Games. Sift Kaur won this medal for India in the 50-meter rifle event.

 India's Roshibina Devi won silver medal in the 60 kg women's Wushu

category in the Asian Games 2023.

 The men's team of Swapnil Kusale, Aishwary Tomar, Akhil Sheoran won
the gold medal for India in the 50-meter rifle 3P event. The women's team
of Isha, Divya, and Palak won the silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol
event in Asian Games 2023.
