a. Brief History
The Catanduanes National High School can trace its origin to the Virac Sub-Provincial High
School which was organized in 1926. As the government High School in the capital town of
Virac, it has turned out students who now occupy important positions in the government, private
and business sectors. It has produced scholars who have topped board examinations.
The first secondary school ever in Catanduanes, the sub province of Albay, was the Virac Sub-
Provincial High School. Organized in 1926, the school had been the proud Alma Mater of many
successful graduates. Unfortunately, after only about a decade of existence through fruitful, it
was closed due to financial difficulties.
In 1964, the school was nationalized after Republic Act No. 3900, authored by then Catanduanes
Congressman Jose M. Alberto was passed. As a nationalized school, its funding would no longer
be a problem as it would be part of the national annual budget approved by the Congress. The
funds released the school by then Budget Commission boosted the morale of the school
administration and student population. Enrollment increased and the school progressed by leaps
and bounds.

APPENDICES

Appendix A: Summary Of Practicum
My work immersion was held in SHS Supply & Records office. In my journey of work
immersion I learned a lot of things. Graining and improving my career professionalism to the
office work world. Working in an office hour makes you scared because you can’t make
mistakes. Being in a office you need to overcome things, sir carlo said always be professional.
My patience was being tested when I worked in SHS supply & records office, many things don’t
go to the way I want but thanks to our supervisor, he managed and helped us well throughout the
immersion.
This immersion has affected my growth in several ways. First, it has helped me gain more
knowledge about office works. My patience was tested and my eagerness to finish my work
helped me to become the better. I’ve learned a lot and advice from my supervisor. Learning not
only from any success but I am also learning from my mistakes.
