Song Nine

Song Nine (九下り目 Kokono Kudari-me) is one of the Twelve Songs of the Mikagura-uta. It is said to have been composed by Mikagura-uta
Oyasama in 1867. There was a time when it was referred as "Chapter Nine" in English.

First, Clapping around throughout the wide world, hitotsu hiroi sekai o uchi mawari 一ツ

And cleansing human hearts once and twice, issen nisen de tasuke yuku Songs for the Kagura

Second, Against any hardship I will protect you; futatsu fujū naki yo ni shite yarō 二ツ

Ninth, kokonotsu koko de Tsutome o shite iredo 九ツ

Now that you are calling the name of God, tōdo Kami-na o yobi daseba 十ド
