About the programme
Noise, rather than an unwanted or annoying sound, can be a source of inspiration, expression and experimentation. From the early romanticism of Franz Schubert, who with his dramatic Erlkönig narrates the struggle of a father against the king of the elves, a metaphor for death, to save his son; through Robert Schumann and his Florestan, Albéniz and his Iberian love, to French post- impressionism, represented by the experimental Roger Boutry, who in his work Mosaïque offers us a vision of the present time, invaded by noise and the thousand and one stimuli of a city, of a mind. The noise of time is a sonorous journey through the melodies that have left their mark on our memory, and which sometimes become that terrible melody from which we cannot escape. It is also an invitation to listen to the noise of our surroundings, of our time, of our mind, and to discover the beauty hidden behind it. Programme
