MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

This Memorandum of Agreement is entered into this 20th day of March 2024 in Barangay
Jovellar, Tarragona, Davao Oriental, by and between:

The DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION- JOVELLAR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL a government

instrumentality with principal address at Barangay Jovellar, Tarragona, Davao Oriental,
represented in this Agreement by its School Head, MR. JAYSON W. LAYTO Filipino, of legal age
and hereinafter referred to as the “SCHOOL”;

The OFFICE OF THE BOARD MEMBER OF DAVAO ORIENTAL- DISTRICT 1, a

government instrumentality with principal address at Barangay Dahican, City of Mati, Davao
Oriental, represented in this Agreement by HON. ART BENJIE C. BULAONG, Filipino, of
legal age and hereinafter referred to as the “THE BOARD MEMBER”;

-and-

ROCHELLE FAY MASINADIONG, of legal age, single, Filipino and a resident of Purok NASA I,
Barangay Central, Tarragona, Davao Oriental, and hereinafter referred to as the “BOARD
MEMBER-PAID TEACHER”.

WITNESSETH:

WHEREAS, in response to the call for collaborative efforts in ensuring efficient delivery of
learning, the Schools Division of Davao Oriental sincerely welcomes support from the Board
Member Office of Davao Oriental, and all other stakeholders, this School Year 2023-2024;

WHEREAS, Board Member Office of Davao Oriental recognize ”collaboration among

government instrumentalities” as one of the key factors in the holistic recovery of our country
from the current unfortunate situation, expressed under DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2020-
096 dated 26 June 2020, and as the important principle enshrined in the “Bayanihan to Heal As
One Act;”

WHERES, the SCHOOL intends to collaborate with qualified and willing BOARD MEMBER-
PAID TEACHER preferably residing in the locality where the SCHOOL is located to assist in
the delivery of Learning Competencies to the learners;

WHEREAS, the BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER is willing to extend his/ her voluntary
service in assisting public elementary school;

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the PARTIES hereby
agree as follows:
I-OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTIES

A. Obligation of the BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER

The BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER shall perform the following:

1. Secures a CERTIFICATE OF RECOMMENDATION stating therein, among others, that

he/she is fit to work as a BOARD MEMBER –PAID TEACHER and that he/she No Derogatory
Record;
2. Submits to the School Principal the necessary requirement for his/her qualifications to be a
BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER;
3. Maintains close coordination with the school head and/or the teacher assigned for monitoring
of his/her functions as BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER;
4. Observes professional ethics in all his/her affairs for the whole duration of this contract, at all
times;
5. Actively participates in the trainings/orientation which may be initiated by the school and or
the DepEd Division Office related to his/her assigned duties and responsibilities;
6. Undertakes all other functions necessary in the Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and
Evaluation of the activities related to his/her assigned duties and responsibilities;
7. Faithfully and diligently abides all rules, regulations, orders, and others issuance sanctioned by
the School, DepEd Division, Regional and National Offices, and all other laws applicable under
the circumstances.

B. Obligation of DEPED

The DEPED shall perform the following:

1. Assess and adjudges the qualification the BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER Applicant;
2. Trains the BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER with necessary skills and different
modalities of learning as contained in the DepEd Learning Continuity Plan;
3. Maintains close coordination with the Barangay in ensuring the safety and security of BOARD
MEMBER-PAID TEACHER and learners through the school head;
4. Issues Certification for BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER Accomplishment provided the
latter have served at least one (1) month of volunteer work;
5. Recognizes such work experience of the volunteer and consider the same in the point system
for application in the case the latter applies for a teaching position in the Schools Division of
Davao Oriental;
 C. Obligation of the BOARD MEMBER

The Board Member shall perform the following;

1. Assesses and adjudges the qualification of the BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER

Applicant;

2. Maintains close coordination with the DepEd in ensuring the safety and security of the
BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER through the school head;

3. Compensates the monthly services of the BOARD MEMBER-PAID TEACHER in the

amount of P 5,000.00 (Five Thousand Pesos)

II- EFFECTIVITY

This Agreement shall be effective upon signing of the parties through their respective
representative which shall be determined as of the date first above written.

III- MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS

Violations or omission of any of the provisions of this Understanding shall be ground for
the cancellation or rescission of the same without need for legal or court action.

IN WITNESS THEREOF, the parties have signed this Memorandum of Agreement as of the
date first above written at Barangay Central, Tarragona, Davao Oriental.
