COURSE OBJECTIVES & OUTCOMES
This paper focuses on understanding the basic concepts, theories, and functioning of the State. The
course prepares the student to understand the nuances of several political ideologies. It examines the
distinction between nation and state and the relationship of society with the state. The course attempts to
evaluate the contributions of Indian political thinkers in the context of politico-legal experiences .

Course Outcomes:

CO1- Students will develop an understanding of the theories of the state


CO2- The course aims to make students aware of the political ideologies
CO3- Students will develop an understanding of the main currents of Indian Political
Thought
CO4- Students will learn about the ancient Indian theories of the state
CO5- Students will develop an understanding of the classical Indian concept of the state

POLITICAL SCIENCE I- POLITICAL THEORY AND

OBJECTIVE:
This paper focuses on understanding the basic concepts, theories, and functioning of the State. The
course prepares the student to understand the nuances of several political ideologies. It examines the
