The network of experts

Dear members,

we all want our association to be perceived by the public as an important network of experts
in accident research and analysis. In addition to our know-how and all the successful work,
the online presentation of our services is also very important.

Therefore, we have decided to update and revise the evuonline.org website. This is the beta
version. Many new functions have already been implemented, but development is not yet
complete. The new website is now also optimised for mobile devices, technically up-to-date
and as a portal it can be expanded step by step with further interesting content and function
areas.

Your numerous contributions as well as a large part of the personal information have been
incorporated. Now we ask you to log in again to check your information and amend it if
necessary.

Below you will find a guide with information on how to handle the new website. You can
find out how to update your master data, how to search, read and create posts, how to join
groups and much more.

Logging in for the first time
You can reach the new website under the following link:

www.evu-online.org

When logging in for the first time, please use your e-mail address as your username. Please
note that your old password is no longer valid. To assign yourself a new password, click the
Login button and then the Forgot your passwort button.

You will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to reset to the registered e-mail address.
In all other cases, please contact the system administrator using the following e-mail
address:

support@evu-online.org

The password should be at least 8 characters long and contain at least 1 capital letter, 1
number and 1 special character. You can change your password at any time under Access
data in your member profile.

Updating your master data
Please update your master data on the Profile and contact information page. You can then
again restrict publication on the website (visibility of your data).

• Title
• First name, Surname
• Telephone number / Mobile number
• Fax
• E-Mail address

Next, you can upload a profile picture (optional).

• valid formats JPEG, JPG und PNG

• recommended size 500 x 500 pixel
• maximum file size 1,5 MB

Further on down you can also update information regarding your company. vCard and
company logos are also uploaded here.

• valid formats VCF und vCard

Finally, you have the option to set the visibility of your data. Please remember to confirm
your changes in each section with the Save button. You are welcome to join our mailing list
on the Circulars page.

Searching, reading and creating publications
Under Publications in the menu you will find all contributions by EVU members. You can
search for specific contributions in the search field above the list of publications. If you want
to read a publication, simply click on it. In addition to the article, you will also receive the
following information:

• Main author

• Co-Authors
• Citation

• Type of media
• Publication type
• Publication year

• Publisher

If you want to create a publication yourself, return to My space via the menu. Click on New
publication on the right. The following entries are required when creating a contribution:

• Headline

• Main author
• Co-Authors
• Type of media
• Publication type

• Publication year
• Publisher
• ISBN

You find your own publications under My publications. You can edit the publications
anytime by clicking on the Edit button.

In addition to providing information for the reader, you can upload attachments and edit the
introductory text and the content area here.

Click on the plus and minus sign (+ - ) to get different options for formatting the respective
area (see next page).

If you want to publish your entry, click on the button Send internal notification. The website
editors will be notified of your request for approval and will publish the contribution or
contact you directly in case of any open questions.

Once your entry is published, you will receive an e-mail with the news:

Your publication (ID-XXXX or Headline)

has been published (Time/ Date)

Country and professional groups
In your space you can find your country groups under My Groups. The professional groups
are a new feature. Professional groups are not limited to countries and are intended to
provide an exchange between you and other members. In future, professional groups will
also be visible on the website. They currently are a display with no internal section.

For both country and professional groups, an administrator is assigned to approve your
membership application. In your profile you can apply for membership to groups and check
the state of your applications.

If you want to find a specific member of a group, click on Country groups in the menu.

Scroll down and select the required group. On the following page, all members of the
respective group are displayed. Click on the name to see all important information about the
requested member.

Further information
Mobile devices? No problem!
Visiting the EVU website works well on mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets.

For editing your profile, writing posts, we recommend a desktop with the resolution of at
least 1280 pixels wide. This is equivalent to a laptop with a 13 inch diagonal screen. For
editing while on the move, a tablet in landscape format is also suitable.

suggestion for improvement by e-mail. It would be very helpful if you can send us a
