My name is Alana Jones and I am writing in regards to the musical theater performer position. I
am a senior at Ripon High School, and am planning on pursuing a BFA Musical Theatre major in
college. I am very interested in this position because musical theater options in my area are hard
to come by. Ripon High does not have a theater department. At Ripon High, I serve as
Co-President of our Drama Club, involved in every aspect of our productions from licensing to
costume and set design. However, juggling multiple roles often hinders my ability to fully
immerse myself in performance.

Joining your company, where I can focus solely on my craft without production logistics, is
incredibly appealing. With experience directing productions such as Little Women and Sister
Act, I've gained invaluable insights into theatrical storytelling and teamwork. Through this, I
have learned not only how to give direction, but also why I need to take direction from the
director. As an actor, I now know why I am unable to do certain things. As an actor, I've
portrayed various roles, including Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act, and Marmee in Little
Women. On top of theatrical experience, I have been in singing lessons for over a year, taken
acting classes, and been to multiple summer theater programs to improve my performances. Over
the past year, I have been focusing on college auditions, where I have learned how to film a
prescreen, rock a dance call, and present myself professionally while still showing personality.

My passion for theatre, combined with my determination, and creativity make me the perfect
candidate for this position. I'm committed to ongoing growth and diversity in my artistry, always
