Subject: Applying for a Study Permit in Canada
Dear officer,
I would like to share my profile briefly via this letter.
At the time of submission, I am XXX years old, a single male and pleased to apply for a study permit
in Canada. Please see below for my qualifications that make me a deserving candidate for the study
permit in Canada
I am an Industrial Engineering Student, currently in my xx semester. Due to the strong demand for
engineering skills, particularly in the technological area, I have decided to pivot my educational career
to the software engineering field. I am confident that by acquiring such skills from world-class
professors, I will be able to contribute to the Canadian economy in my remaining time there, and once
I return to Peru, I will become a more qualified individual for employers. Thus, by obtaining an
advanced diploma in software engineering technology, every interested party will be benefited.
I choose Canada over other countries that offer a similar diploma because of the reputation that
(nombre del college) got. In addition, from my research, Waterloo is a place where you can breathe
innovation and get to incredibly smart people from different cultural backgrounds.
Regarding my academic context, I have learned English since Elementary School and achieved a 6.5
on the IELTS Academic Certification; also I have participated in a cultural exchange program in
England (ISCA 2018); Furthermore, I have enrolled on several startup competitions, and won first
place at one that was at a national level on my final year at school.
Moreover, concerning my valid visas, I have a tourist visa from Canada as well as from the United
States of America (please see the photo of Canadian and American tourist visas). In fact, I will be
travelling soon to Canada, from March 3 to 19, to take part in a volunteer program that I have been
accepted as a convention ambassador, which will take place in Toronto at PDAC 2023.
About my financial qualification, my mother will help me cover all my expenses, as it is on record in
her savings account in USD.
I promise that after completing my diploma and my allowed time there, I will return back to my
country, and help grow the technological industry of Perú. As my record shows, I have never
overstayed in any foreign country that I have visited before more than my visa allows me to, because I
respect the terms in which I am welcome to a new nation.
Your support is crucial to help me achieve my goals, and I humbly request the issuance of my study
permit.
