(Stage set with bright and playful backdrops depicting scenes from Wonderland.)
[The play begins with Alice sitting by a tree, feeling bored and curious.]
White Rabbit: (panicked) Oh my whiskers! I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!
Alice: (giggling) Wait for me, Mr. Rabbit! I want to see what's so important!
(With a skip and a hop, Alice follows the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole and into Wonderland.)
[As Alice ventures through Wonderland, she encounters various colorful characters and gets into all sorts of
playful adventures.]
(Each character has their own unique scene and interaction with Alice.)
[At the tea party, Alice meets the Mad Hatter and the March Hare, who invite her to join their silly tea party.]
Mad Hatter: (pouring invisible tea) Care for a cup of tea, my dear?
Alice: (giggling) But I don't see any tea in the teapot!
March Hare: (laughing) That's the fun of it! We pretend to have tea without drinking any!
[In the garden, Alice encounters the Cheshire Cat, who appears and disappears with a mischievous grin.]
Cheshire Cat: (grinning) Hello, Alice! Where will your adventures take you next?
Alice: (excitedly) I'm not sure, Mr. Cat, but I'm having so much fun exploring Wonderland!
[At the Queen's croquet game, Alice faces the loud and bossy Queen of Hearts, who insists on playing with
flamingos and hedgehogs.]
Queen of Hearts: (shouting) Off with their heads! Anyone who doesn't play croquet properly will be punished!
Alice: (gently) Your Majesty, can we play a different game instead? One where nobody loses their heads?
[Finally, Alice meets the Caterpillar, who sits atop a mushroom and smokes a hookah pipe.]
Caterpillar: (smiling) Enjoy the journey, my dear. That's what makes it magical.
[In the end, Alice realizes that the true magic of Wonderland lies in the joy of imagination and discovery.]
Alice: (happily) Thank you, Wonderland, for the wonderful adventure! Goodbye for now, until we meet again!
