Last summer, I was on holiday in Thailand during Songkran. It’s a festival that
takes place over three days in April when Thai people celebrate their New Year.
 Many people call Songkran the Water Festival because the festival marks the end
of the dry season. Everywhere I went, locals were having playful water fights –

 using bottles and buckets. They do this to wash away their bad luck so that they
can welcome the new year with a fresh start. I got soaked too when an elephant
splashed me with water! I’ve uploaded some videos I recorded onto my blog.
