a) Small Business: - It is considered as a business in which there
are only few workers and the firm’s reach is less. Moreover, in
Canada, a business is considered small if they have less than 50
or 100 employees. Plus, there are not more than one or two
owners of the business. Example of small businesses in Prince
George are:

Madras Maple Cafe: It is a famous café and restaurant in the


town and specially known for their popular food type [ South
Indian Classic Dosa]. They have only 10 workers in their
restaurant. Additionally, they have only one shop in Prince
George and do not have any branch in Canada.

b) Franchise: It is a method in which right or license granted to a


person or institution in order to distribute products and
services of a specific company or brand. A Business allows an
individual or a group to open a new franchise of their brand
who pays a royalty and initial fee for the right to do enterprise
under the franchisor’s name and system. Example of Franchise
in Prince George.

Papa John’s: It is a retail quick-service restaurant and mainly


sales pizza and other related food products. This company has
over 5,200 establishments and currently operating in 50 states
and in 44 countries.

c) Family Business: A family business can be defined as the


connection between the business and the circle of family
members with unknown limitations and various rules. Family
business consist of numerous combinations of family members
in different business roles and their future generation can also
continue working in the same business in order to grow the
business. Example of family business in Prince George:

Mario’s 2 for 1 Pizza: It is a family owned and operated


business. It is in service for more than 30 years. They serve
variety of pizzas, subs, and different type of Indian snacks as
well as food. The restaurant is managed by all 6 family
members.

d) Entrepreneur: It is operated by a single person when he sees


the opportunity and is ready to take risks in order to start a
whole new concept. The individual is always viewed as
inventor of the product that the person comes up with in the
market.

There are many
types of masalas.
Indian spices are
grown at a large
scale due to their
high demand in
India. India is
blessed with rich
culture of different
spices.
Honda Japan Honda is the eighth
Civic largest automobile
manufacture in the
world.
Headquarters are
in Tokyo. Japan
has the biggest
engine plant.
Moreover, car
manufacturers in
Japan are very
creative in making
designs and
resources for
making powerful
and fast cars.

3. According to me, in some companies the CEO should give


more importance to the human relation skills than technical
skills which helps the CEO’s and the employees to have a good
understanding between them. Human relation skills are
basically the social skills that mostly managers use to fulfil
their company’s objective through the employees with human
resources. Some examples of forming good human relation
skills are:

 Giving positive feedback to the employees on the weekly


or monthly performance motivates the employees to give
their best.
 If the company or the CEO is looking after the individual
needs of the employees like their career development, will
help both the company and the individual to grow.

As a result, the use of human relation skills by the CEO of the


company will help the employees to form a sense of belonging and
significance while being treated with respect and value.
