other products and distribute them to
people experiencing nutrition insecurity
through our partner agency network and
directly through programs;
● Energize the community to get involved
and support hunger relief;
● Conduct hunger and nutrition education
and awareness campaigns and advocate
for public policies that benefit the people
we serve.

My Service Learning Project

I chose this organization because they have helped many people and they need more
recognition for it for the help that they provide. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank's
mission is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community. It benefits my
community by feeding families, kids, and adults that may need it the most. I hope to
contribute more meaningful and impactful ways to this organization by taking on
leadership roles or spearheading new initiatives within the volunteer community. An
increase of health, and self-confidence, and the feeling that I'm doing good for others
and the community, it would also open me doors to see different perspectives that I can
use in the future to try to solve those problems or at least find a solution for them.
