1.1 Decoding the Grades Used In Form Four Examinations
1.2 Calculating Form Four Division:
1. A (75-100): This grade represents exceptional performance, indicating a thorough understanding of the subject matter and the students ability
to effectively apply knowledge.
2. B (65-74): This grade denotes outstanding proficiency, showing clear comprehension of key concepts and the capability to analyze and solve
problems within the given domain.
3. C (45-64): This grade represents solid competence, demonstrating a satisfactory grasp of essential knowledge and skills in the subject area.
4. D (30-44): This grade implies partial understanding, suggesting some knowledge gaps but also basic competence in tackling fundamental
aspects of the subject.
5. F (0-29): This grade indicates insufficient mastery, highlighting the need for further understanding and development of key skills related to
the subject.
A candidate will be considered to have passed the minimum level of division four if they have completed less than seven subjects in the form four
examinations and have passed at least two subjects in Grade D, or one subject in Grade A, B, or C.
Additionally, a form six student who has taken less than three special subjects will be awarded a division four if they pass at least two subjects in
Grade S, or one subject in Grades A, B, C, D, or E.
