DETAILED LESSON PLAN

In
Automotive 10

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:
A. Identify the possible troubles on the break system.
B. Determine the possible causes of the troubles of the break system.
C. Check or correction of the possible cause of each trouble in the break system.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Topic: Drum break Trouble Diagnosis

References: Learning Module in Automotive Technology, K to 12 Curriculum Technology Livelihood

Education.

Materials: Laptop, Power point Presentation.

III. LEARNING PROCEDURE

Teachers Activity Students Activity

A. Activity
- Good morning class.
Good morning teacher, good morning classmates.
- Everybody stands up. Lead the prayer Jerry.

- Before you take your seats kindly pick up the

trashes you can see inside the classroom and put it
in the trash bins.

- You may now take your seat class.

- Before anything else, let me check your attendance,

who is absent?
None sir!

Very good! Perfect attendance.

- Okay class, what was our topic last meeting?

- Yes! Renz
Sir its all about the parts of the disc break sir.
- Okay Excellent!

- Who can enumerate the parts of disc break.

Sir
- Yes Peter.
Break pads, Break lining, rotor disc, caliper, mounting
bolt and sleeve.
- Awesome!
- Now I will flash a picture and give your insights or
understanding.

Sir!
Sir
- Yes Ganny

- Excellent! There is a crack on the disc plate sir.

B. ANALYSIS
Okay Class today we are going to discuss the Disc
break trouble diagnosis

- By the way class what is Disc break?

sir
- Yes jerry.
A disc brake is a type of brake that uses the calipers to
squeeze pairs of pads against a disc or a rotor to create
friction. There are two basic types of brake pad friction
mechanisms: abrasive friction and adherent friction.

- Very Good!
HOW TO REPAIR THE DISK BRAKE
MOTORCYCLE SYSTEM?
Now the motorcycles have mostly used the custom
motorcycle brake discs, because the effect of the disc
brake is relatively better, but the structure is more
complex than the drum brake system before. Therefore,
the motorcycle brake maintenance is very important.
Why Are My Motorcycle Disc Brakes Not
Working?
Several factors can cause motorcycle disc brakes to not
work effectively. Potential reasons include worn-out
brake pads, insufficient brake fluid, air in the brake
system, damaged brake lines, or malfunctioning
calipers. Check the brake pads for wear, ensuring they
have enough thickness.
How Do You Fix Disc Brakes Rubbing On A
Motorcycle?

If your motorcycle’s disc brakes are rubbing, there are a

few steps you can take to fix the issue. Start by
checking the brake caliper alignment and ensuring it is
centered on the disc. If it is misaligned, adjust the
caliper position using the mounting bolts until it is
properly aligned. Additionally, check the brake pads for
wear and replace them if necessary. Inspect the rotor for
any warping or damage.
C. ABSTRACTION

- Okay class that is our lesson for today,

- Do you have any questions or clarification?

- just raise your right hand.
None sir.
- Okay if none, I will ask questions.
- What is disc break?

- Amazing!

D.APPLICATION

The students will group into 2 and they will arrange the puzzle and after arranging, each group will present in front.
