2. Write an introduction to your Capstone Research. Have each one of your members contribute to

a. History of the problem/issues you are try to solve/improve

 Hermes’ Chalice is a business where we focus on producing thermoses that comes with a cup.
The goal of Hermes’ Chalice is to provide the Philippines a thermos with a cup that can store hot,
mild and cold drinks for hours.

Why do we this? Because sometimes the thermos breaks or crack inside or in the cup when hot or
cold water is flowed in. That is why in order to prevent the breaking of each thermos and to also
promote our product. Our group has come up with the solution to add where the inside of our
thermos’ has the ability to store hot and cold water. We know that this is only a minor issue but to
us, the thermos is an essential to us Filipinos because this item holds hot water if we want to have
a coffee or warm milk, and also, we want to add the bonus where it can also hold cold water, and
meanwhile enjoy it.
b. Why does the researchers think this need/problem needs to be addressed?

 According to https://inf.news, The issue is that the thermos cup does not hold its temperature. The
stainless-steel vacuum flask must have a water temperature of 40 degrees Celsius for 6 hours after
the hot water at 96 degrees is put into the cup, according to the national standard. If this
requirement is met, the cup qualifies as a high-quality thermal insulation cup. This has caused a
problem that bothers everyone.

Also, another problem is after some time, the water cup will begin to shake, and a noise will be
audible within. Some customers haven't had it long, and after using it for a while, they've noticed
strange noises coming from the water cup. The shedding of the getter within the water cup is the
cause of this phenomena. Usually, the shedding of the getter will not affect the heat preservation
of the water cup's performance.

c. What are your aims on this Project?

 The aim Hermes’ Chalice is to provide the country of the Filipinos, the Philippines, is to provide
them a thermos can both store hot and cold waters inside the thermos, and also the cup should be
able to control the temperature of each liquid.

So, our group has come up with the solution to add where the inside of our thermos’ has the
ability to store hot and cold water. We know that this is only a minor issue but to us, the thermos
is an essential to us Filipinos because this item holds hot water if we want to have a coffee or
warm milk, and also, we want to add the bonus where it can also hold cold water, and enjoy it.

d. How do you foresee your project will work once developed?

 As for our vision on our service, we see that our product may be unique at first, and people may
be curious. Our business may start slowly but as time pass by, people will start to see our unique
thermos’s and that will start our motivation to create better thermos. After some progress in our
business, we will start thinking about new ideas for our beloved thermos’s.

We'll also guarantee the quality of our services by caring for and monitoring the health and well-
being of our clients, employees, and others. We'll also invest in automating the production of our
thermos, and we'll consider creating the thermos personalized for the customer or clients. As a
result, our customers' happiness is at an all-time high, and Hermes' Chalice is now one of the
most well-known water container manufacturers.

e. Possible impact to society once developed on a large scale

 The Filipinos will know of our company and by then our business will be booming, and by then
our products will have many choices for our customers, so they can suit their lifestyle, so they can
 fully enjoy our products. By then, our customers have shared their opinions to their friends in
other countries. But firstly. we have to invest that we can build other establishments in other
countries, and we have to design our products to fit in other countries, for example, designing a
thermos with their tradition colors and designs. In that way, our company can be heard worldwide
and known to each household.
