FAMILY

PREPAREDNESS
PLAN
Disasters can strike at any time and with
little warning. To secure your house and
family, you must be prepared and have a
strategy in place. The family disaster
preparedness plan outlines four measures
that families can follow to prepare for any
disaster.

PREPARED BY: JOHN GERALD MANLUTAC 12 - BRAGION

WHAT IS A DISASTER?

Disasters are severe interruptions to a community's

functioning that surpass its ability to cope with its own
resources.
There are three types of disasters; natural, man-made, and
hybrid disasters.

Disaster risk is made up of three parts: hazard, exposure,

and vulnerability.
