ULTRASOUND WHOLE ABDOMEN
Clinical Information: LRTI with sepsis
Liver appears mildly enlarged in size measuring ~ 160mm, normal in shape and echopattern. No focal
parenchymal lesions identified. No evidence of intra/extrahepatic biliary tree dilatation noted. Portal vein
appears to be of normal size.
Spleen appears mild enlarged in size, measuring ~ 134mm. No focal parenchymal lesions identified.
Both kidneys appear normal in size, shape and echopattern. Corticomedullary differentiation appears
maintained. No evidence of calculi / hydronephrosis seen on either side.
Urinary bladder distended and appears normal. No evidence of abnormal wall thickening noted.
Uterus appears normal in size. Myometrial echoes appear normal with no focal lesions identified. Endometrial
thickness measures ~ 10mm.
Left ovary measures ~ 30 x 18 mm, appears normal in size and echotexture. Right ovary: Not localized
IMPRESSION:
Mild hepatosplenomegaly
