Job Description

As a Senior Consultant (Biodiversity) for PT ESC Environment Indonesia (ESC), you will be the senior
biodiversity specialist and lead the biodiversity component of ESHIA. This includes preparation of
critical habitat assessment, biodiversity impact assessment, biodiversity management plan and
biodiversity offset implementation plan. The role also requires you to be familiar with the
preparation of environmental survey/sampling methodology. You will need to be familiar with
National and International Regulations (IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles) and other
related international guidelines. Experience in environmental assessment in infrastructure projects,
energy and solid waste management projects is an advantage. This role requires strong
interpersonal skills, collaborative attitude, able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and
proficient in oral and written communication skills in English.

Job Responsibilities

1. Project Delivery:
• Lead the biodiversity component of ESHIAs including preparation of biodiversity
baseline, preparation of biodiversity management plan, critical habitat
assessment and biodiversity offset implementation plan.
• Lead the preparation of survey plan including environmental baseline surveys and
sampling.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key clients, industry partners, and relevant
stakeholders to enhance the organization's reputation and secure new business
opportunities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, or a related field. A master's degree is a

plus.
• > 6 years’ relevant experience in the field including in consultancies.
• High familiarity with national and international standards including Equator Principles
and IFC Performance Standards.
• Knowledgeable with sustainability development
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a
diverse workforce.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and
influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships, with a focus on
client satisfaction and long-term partnership.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and
manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Proactive and results-driven mindset, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality
services and exceeding customer expectations.
