DoD CYBER SCHOLARSHIP

RECRUITMENT PROGRAM
(DoD CySP)

The DoD CySP recruitment program provides scholarships to college students


(non-DoD civilians) at the undergraduate and graduate levels to study in cyber-related
majors at select National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C).

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY DoD CySP PROVIDES


• Student within the following categories: • F
 ull tuition and required fees (which may
 ndergraduate: (required 3.2 GPA out of 4.0)
U include institutional health care programs)
- Second year of associate degree • R
 equired books from the required
- Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a institution- or degree-specific book list
bachelor’s degree • O
 ne-time laptop/computer purchase
• Graduate: (required 3.5 GPA out of 4.0) • S
 tipend to cover room and board
- Master’s
- PhD/Doctorate • $22,000 for community college students
• U.S. citizen able to qualify for a security clearance • $27,000 for undergraduate students
• C
 urrently not a full-time, permanent DoD, • $
 32,000 for graduate (master’s/Ph.D.)
Federal Employee, or Active duty military students
• E
 nrolled in a full-time cyber program at a
designated National Center of Academic
Excellence in Cybersecurity

remaining in degree program full-time employment after graduation and
completion of the program

 aintain flexibility to move within the
continental U.S. to perform internships and • R
 eceive progressive, hands-on experience
final service obligations through structured internships with select
DoD Components during academic breaks

 urrently unencumbered to another
program with a required service obligation
