Statement of Purpose

Computer and Information Science is one of the fast-growing areas of study that has great potentials.
The advantages and the cost-effective solutions that it provides to industries have increased the
demand for computer science professionals who have successfully completed graduate studies from
countries like the USA. The advanced learning gained while studying in the research-oriented study
environment in the educational institution abroad can make students like me ready for a highly-
productive career worldwide. With a zeal to excel in my career and have made up my mind to secure a
position in a leadership role in a fast-paced global environment in the software department while
making a significant contribution to the growth of my organization. It is to fulfil the career objective I
wish to do my Master of Computer and Information Science - Information Technology studies In
Gannon University.

My background in computer science and engineering and a keen interest in programming has been the
key reason for my decision to choose to study MS in Computer and Science – Information
Technology. The internationally acclaimed course curriculum will help me study in-depth subjects. It
will also cover the detailed study of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, computing
fundamentals, programming languages, etc. The research-based learning at your institution in the USA
will help me take the advantage of lectures delivered by the faculties having industry experience. The
opportunity to undergo training and do real-time projects will help me get acquainted with the global
work environment. The academic learning, project works, mock sessions, and other research work will

science makes US the prime choice of international students. In comparison to the other countries, the
course curriculum in US focuses more on the practical knowledge which can be of more use to me.
There are many educational institutions that top the chart in world-wide ranking. Moreover, the
country is safe and gives endless growth opportunities.

My fondness for technology laid its foundation on the varied communications devices, gadgets, and
games I came across during my childhood days. The improved version of gadgets and computers in the
school computer lab became the cause of my increased curiosity. It motivated me to explore more and
study in detail the technology used to make communication more effective in modern times. The IT
field interested me a lot and so I decided to go for a career in information technology. After I passed
my 10+2 from SR Junior College, I chose to do my undergraduate studies in the field of CSE. Thus, I
sought admission to B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at Malla Reddy College of
engineering and technology based in my home country India. My undergrad studies made me learn a
lot. My inclination in technology motivated me to develop skills in Programming Languages including
C++, C and Python. Over the time, I developed proficiency in MS Office as well as developed strong
computer literacy and the desire to advance technically. In the course of employment, my exposure to
a wide variety of web applications, tools, and software developed in me a keen interest in computer
technology. Moreover, the working of software professionals excited me a lot. Thus, to make a
rewarding career in my field of interest I decided to study MS in Computer and Information Science
- Information Technology from your globally-recognized university based in the United States of
America.
 Statement of Purpose
I am a self-motivated, devoted, and passionate learner. After I complete the master degree study
program, I will be prepared to face the different challenges of techno-managerial. It will also help me
fulfil my long-term goal of leading a team as an Expert Software Engineer in a leading organization
operational in my country India having great growth potential. The opportunity to study at your world-
class educational institution will not only make me technically sound but also make me ready for
leadership roles.
