Topic: The bible is the word of God (part 2)


According to the tenets, “”The Bible”” is first. The Bible is considered final, it is comprehensive,
it is all- sufficient. (Psalm 23:6, Hebrews 11:3, John 1:1-3, Luke 1:37) The Bible is a content
history, that contains poetic and prophetic books. (Act 2:17, 2nd Timothy 3:16, proverbs 35). The
word of God is pure, truth and eternal.
The Bible is the written word of God. It is also the word of God.

Why the word of God?


1. (John 5:39) The Bible reveals God to us. It shows us the attributes of God( God is omniscient
( he knows all things), God is omnipotent, God is omnipresent. God doesn’t change, he is
eternal, God is perfect. He is love, merciful. The word of God gives us hope.

2 It reveals the origin of man, what God expect from us, the full of man, potential in man. The word of
God reveals who we are, and where we came from. (Genesis2:7, proverbs 14:1, proverbs 24:7, 1 st
Corinthians 1:18-20)

3 The Bible teaches us what God wants us to learn.( Romans 15:4, 1st Corinthians 10:11, 1st Kings 11:4,
Mathew 23:23). The word teaches us to be diligent. It teaches us about marriage ( Ephesians 5:25).The
Bible is all about learning.

The three operation of tongues.
 Gelossonalia- a personal tongue and unknown tongue to us. ( Mark 16:17). It is supernaturally
inspired, it is not learned. No one understands it, except God.(1st Corinthians 14:4, 14:14). It’s for
personal edification or built up to accept certain realms of the spirit.
 Xenomia- unknown tongue/ other tongue/ different types of tongues.( Act 2:4). Speaking other
known tongues without understanding it. It does not require interpretation.(1 st Corinthians
14:22)
 Xenogrozia- can be interpreted, a tongue for the church not for the believer. It’s unknown to
man. Speaker and hearer doesn’t understand, there’s an interpretation.( 1st Corinthians 14:11-
26)
