Speculate about why images might be important in non-literate cultures? What might be one
concern about images used in religious rituals?
Answer:
Images would be of particular importance because they would be how non-literate cultures
would be able to communicate with one another and for addition images would be special
significance since they would be a people or culture without a written language cultures might
be able to communicate with one another.

Characteristics of Artwork are lines, colors, values, shapes, space, and movement. To describe
them, you must think beyond straight or curved, red or orange, light or dark, round or square,
striped or polka dot, shallow or deep, and small or large.

Answer:
Symbolism is a literary device that uses symbols, be they words, people, marks, locations, or
abstract, ideas to represent something beyond the literal meaning.
Answer:
Everyday object are often used to symbolize some bigger idea. Chains can symbolize the coming
together of two things. Wedding rings symbolize marriage and commitment between two
people. Ladders can represent the relationship between Heaven and Earth or ascension.
