Since that time we started
manufacturing MK-14-10. Now we have
three certified manufacturing sites in
Russia & Ukraine
The engineering and investigation are
Engeniering an integral part of our work aimed on
improvement of container constructions
and infrastructure of transportation &
consumption at consignee site to face
the interests of the client completely.

Handling We provide service supervision and

support to our customers in order to
choose and control the most effective
way of handling the cargo to reach
efficiency and safety.

Maintaince The last stage of the chain is the

maintaince of MK-14-10 fleet, that
exists 30.000 pcs. and increasing early.

The manufacturing production of FBC MK-14-

10 was started in 1997.

The manufacturing is situated at several co-

operating plants. The working process is based
on the technical standards and the
performance technical specifications.

The technology of manufacturing is protected

by several patents, registered in Russia,
Germany and Ukraine.

The manufacturing process is certified by

Lloyd’s Register. Certification which includes
the following activities: design, engineering and
manufacturing of flexible containers BK3 (FBC
MK-14-10), the system of marking,
maintenance, ware-housing, sales & marketing
and legal assistance.

The stable quality of the product is ensured by

the System of Quality Management in
conformity with the Standards of Type
Approval Certificate.
Containers are tested under a quality
assurance program that meets the
requirements of Chapter 6.8. of
“Recommendations on the Transport of
dangerous goods”.

The employees of the plants are highly

qualified and knowledgeable. They have passed
a special course and have been certified for
operations of the manufacturing of the lifting

“New Technology in Transportation” has

been a member of the International
Dangerous Goods and Containers
Association since 2007.
Experts from “New Technology in
Transportation” and IDGCA jointly
developed and presented more then
200 official and information
documents to different Sessions of
the UN Sub-Committee of European
Agreement for International Carriage
of Dangerous Goods (ADR) and
profile Sub-Committeis on all types
of transport of UNECE.

Experts of “New Technology in Transportation” annually improve their

qualification at seminars, which are organized by IDGCA.

Non-commercial partnership IDGCA was established on the 16th of August,

2001. IDGCA was organized by several organizations, interested in the
creation of a permanent working structure, ensuring the links between
administration, international organizations and business.

Activities IDGCA are aimed at raising of the efficiency and the safety of the
transportation of dangerous goods from door to door. At the same time
IDGCA bases its policy on knowledge and the multiple application of
international regulations, standards, rules and recommendations that allow
the use the international knowledge and practices of sphere of multimodal
shipments of dangerous cargoes and containers.

In 2004 Sub-Committee of Experts of UNECE for transportation of

dangerous cargoes awards to IDGCA consultative status. IDGCA is the only
non-governmental organization in Eastern Europe to have such a status.
Since that time the Experts of the Association and its members have been
attending all the meetings of Sub-Committee of UNECE Experts and are
involved in improvement of international legal framework, that significantly
enriches the knowledge of organization in this sphere.

Representatives of IDGCA are involved in the work of the International

Maritime Organization (IMO) and the International Organization for
Standardization (ISO), and provides sufficient information support to the
partners.

Research & Testing

FBC MK-14-10 has 5 different

constructions, which conforms to the
tasks of transportation of various cargoes.
As the list of products becomes wider we
constantly keep working on improving
characteristics of the container, updating it
to the needs of the client.

During this years we have made drop,

topple and righting, tear, stacking and top-
lift tests with authorized research and
testing institutions.

Recently we have made tests with Krylov

State Research Center* on basis of
methodology explained in IMAN 31-406-14
MI “Soft containers. Topple, Righting, Tear
and Stacking Tests of Container MK-14-10.
Test Methodology” and IMAN 31-258-00 MI
“Soft containers. Strength Characteristics.

experts from the Central Scientific
Research Institute of the Marine Fleet
(TsNIIMF), the Federal Scientific Research
Institute BAM (Germany) and Lloyd’s
Register (Germany).

Research & Testing

• Container topple-righting test

• Container under load 28 tf, tear testing
• Container under load 14 tf, tear testing
• Test of vehicle with FBC MK-14-10 for resistance to overturning

Also we had made the test of vehicle KAMAZ-65115 with FBC MK-14-10
(BK3) for the resistance to overturning. This test was held on base of
Research Center for Testing and Refining Automotive Vehicles
(NICIAMT) for compliance with Instructions of Regulations of UNECE
No. 111-00 (www.avtorc.ru).

CONCLUSIONS:
The test results showed the possibility for heavy BK3 containers (up to
14 tones in weight) to be used in bulk multimodal transport (by road,
railroad, maritime and inland transportation).

Problems of transportation

- Requires special grain elevator

to store in port & other
locations. Elevators are exist
only at specialized ports.

- Requires special hopper-

wagons – grain cars. Lack of
grain cars

- Unstable quality, big losses

during shipments.

Using FBC MK-14-10 Load rate:

ensures:

• Stable quality of cargo for 20 • Truck – 15 min (2 MK-14-10)

days • Wagon – 30 min (5 MK-14-10)
• Storing at open air at port and • Vessel – 5000 ton per day

Alumina

Problems of transportation:

- Requires hermetic transport – high

fluidity of the product. Lack of new
wagons.

- Multimodal transportation
schemes. A few reloading. Losses in
quantity and quality.

- No storage facilities at port.

Possibility of demurrage.

- Requires careful handing. Changes

in granulometry during
transshipment.

Product can be loaded through

Load rate 5000 mt (one crane) at the hatches of the holds in any
any non specialized port weather conditions (here sea-
river going vessels)

Alumina

Big volumes can be accumulated

without special warehouse.
Here accumulation of 20.000 mt
at port

FBC MK-14-10 (BK3) saves

stable quality and granulometry.

FBC MK-14-10 BK3 is efficient at

storing, saving costs for additional
equipment involved in the
transportation of the product from
the warehouse to the workshop
(excluding warehouse, its
equipment and personnel),
reducing losses of the product.

Cement
Problems of transportation:

- Requires warehousing. No facilities at

distribution site.
- Requires specialized transport. Lack of
hopper cars/ box cars.
- Required hermeticity – highly hydroscopic.
Imperfection of available package &
transport facilities
- Loaded on transport and in package at
temperature 110oC.
- Shortcoming existing cooling system or lack
of it.
Resistant to a temperature of +110˚ С.

Water resistant.

Cement can be stored at open air for three

month.

No need in intermediate silo in port or

distribution site.

Can be transported
in open transport
facilities: wagons,
barges, auto
transport, on
hatches of the
holds

• Transportation of cement down the Enisey River in Siberia to Dudinka port on open
barges, and on covers of the holds.
Loses - 10 mt from 50.000 mt volume.
Transportation – 12 days, storing at ports 10 days

Dangerous cargoes

Problems of transportation:
- Requires hermeticity of transport facilities & package.
- Cause damage to transport facilities, danger to
personnel, harm to environment.
- Lack & expensiveness of available specialized
transport facilities.
- Requires specialized port for the same reasons.
- Requires quality & purity.
- Existing warehousing & transportation lead to
contamination of the product

No contaminations. No unsatisfactory product condition claims for a product.

Environmentally friendly
loading and discharging.

No additional costs for

ecological penalties.

No dust & dusting.

No additional costs to
clean warehouse after
cargoes removed or
