A. INTRODUCTION
This unit involves the skills and knowledge and attitudes required to carry out basic servicing and maintenance
of a light vehicle such as cleaning the vehicle. It also includes the action to implement the vehicle manufacturer’s
specifications for routine checks and maintenance and that the vehicle is operational to the requirements of both
the workplace and the relevant road and traffic authority.

C. ASSESSMENT PLAN
 Written Test: After familiarization and review of the module of the course, student should undergo evaluation
by taking the written examination. Topics include:
For LO1: Basic parts and function of light vehicle, cleaning materials, and relevant OHS and proper
disposal of wastes.
For LO2: Minor Routine Checks and Minor Routine Repairs and Servicing.

 Performance Test: The students must be evaluated through performing the following task.
For LO1:
1. Practice OHS procedures in cleaning the vehicle unit.
2. Familiarize the function and parts of the vehicle
3. Strictly follow the cleaning guide and use of cleaning materials
4. Proper care and usage of cleaning tools and equipment

For LO2:
1. Make sure they follow the operating principle
2. Maintenance and service be done regularly

D. TEACHER’S SELF-REFLECTION OF THE SESSION

In handling this course, each student should be provided with significant tools or instructional handouts
(hard and soft copy of relevant documents/modules, and video clips) for them to get familiar in every aspect of
learning this course.
Instructional materials should also be explained verbally (by using familiar terms/ dialect) by the trainer to
properly elucidate any clarifications of the student
