The author's misogyny is harsh and difficult to read, but he also shows honesty, grace, regret and humor. I
read it in one day. I laughed, I cried and I had to stop because my heart was racing. I have read it twice since I got it six months ago. The book has a blog where the writer shares more details and lets the reader peek into his private diary. August 16, 2021 I don't know what to say about this book. I didn't like it. First of all, the author who compared
this to F. Scott Fitzgerald for the iPad generation was wrong. This book is nothing like his masterpiece. Second, this is a warning to the parents. I work at a bookstore and I learned that the main buyers of this book are 13-15 years old.
Please, watch your children. This book is not for them. It is very explicit and you don't want your 13 year old to read about a 30 year old's sex and alcohol adventures. The author of this book is a complainer and a bore from the start and this book only glorifies the idea of hurt people hurting people. This book is popular on social media for the
notorious first page, but the rest of the book is worthless. This book is about a man who enjoys hurting women emotionally. He meets his match when he falls for a woman who does the same to him.
The book is written as a memoir, but it is actually a novel. The author tries to be funny and witty, but he is really a misogynist and a narcissist. The book is poorly written and boring.
I do not recommend it. This is my honest review of the book **The Diary of an Oxygen Thief**. I hated this book. It is a terrible example of love and it should not be admired by anyone. The author is compared to an "alcoholic Holden Caulfield", but I think he is worse. Holden Caulfield is a spoiled kid, but the author of this book is a cruel adult. Do not
waste your money on this book. **2021 Edit: I still get notifications about this review so I felt it appropriate to edit. I wrote this review when I was 17 LOL. I probably would’ve been more succinct now and not so pretentious. On the other hand what 17 year old doesn’t think they know everything? Still hate the book though. August 1, 2022 January 6,
2022 4 stars “Hurt people hurt people more skillfully. An expert heartbreaker knows the effect of each incision. The blade slips in barely noticed, the pain and the apology delivered at the same time.” This book was disturbing, but I liked it. I find it fascinating to read about psychotic and disgusting people. It was interesting to see inside his mind and
how he perceived things. The first part of the book was the best, then it became dull and annoying as he whined about his life and complained all the time, but it got better in the last part when he got what he deserved. “I’m not looking for sympathy. I'm far more interested in symmetry.” He was sometimes funny and I could relate to some of his
opinions. I guess that's human nature. He got the symmetry he wanted from me a few times. He was a misogynist (I am not, just to be clear), and that's why some people don't like this book. But that's why I do. This is a fictional work, but it feels like a real memoir.
We get to see his thoughts and how he views things.
His opinions, doubts, fears, excuses, and rationalizations for his actions. Some of them were so absurd that they made me laugh. “I see now that I was in pain and wanted others to feel it too. This was my way of communicating.” This book made me think, feel, and be careful of people like him that I might meet in my life. July 15, 2021 BOO HOO POOR
LITTLE PRIVILEGED WHITE MAN January 5, 2022 Here’s the thing: I don’t normally review or rate the books I read. This book is an exception to my rule of not criticizing them, especially if the author is alive. It made me very angry.
I was intrigued by the first lines of the novel that I stumbled upon: "I liked hurting girls. Mentally, not physically, I never hit a girl in my life. Well, once. But that was a mistake. I'll tell you about it later. The thing is, I got off on it. I really enjoyed it. It's like when you hear serial killers say they feel no regret, no remorse for all the people they killed. I
was like that. Loved it. I didn't care how long it took either because I was in no hurry. I'd wait until they were totally in love with me. Till the big saucer eyes were looking at me.
I loved the surprise on their faces. Then the dullness as they tried to hide how much I was hurting them.
And it was legal. I think I killed a few of them. Their souls, I mean. It was their souls I was after." I wanted to understand why anyone would be like that. I wanted to know why people would hurt other people, why people would hurt the people they love. And he answered, the answer was very simple: "Why would anyone set out to break the heart
someone they loved? Why would anyone intentionally cause that kind of pain? Why did people kill each other?
Because they enjoyed it". He attempted many times during his story to justify why he was the way he was. Whether it was the fact that he was sexually assaulted or that he was neglected by his father as a child. I am very sorry, but that does not give you the right to hurt other people's hearts. "Hurt people hurt people more skillfully". Yes, this might
be true sometimes. But you have a choice for goodness' sake. Pain is always there for most of us. You don't have to inflict it onto others so you feel better. I think that once you experience hurt and heartbreak, you should try to reduce its occurrence, especially around the people you care about the most. Apparently not to Mr. Anonymous. What's most
disturbing is that he realizes all of that, and he's well aware that the consequences of his actions will catch up with him. "What you do comes back to you with twice the force, fuck it, three times the force. We are not punished for our sins we are punished by them.". He did it anyway. Even after he got what he deserved, which by the way was very sick.

The Diary of an Oxygen Thief is a book that I regret reading. The narrator is a cruel, selfish, and hateful man who treats women horribly. His writing is poor,
inconsistent, and boring. He needs professional help. January 13, 2022 2.5 stars This book was the first one I ever read, and it messed me up. The narrator is one of the worst men I have ever met. I was curious about his motives, but the book only showed me how pathetic he is. This book was pathetic. I found this book in my middle school library. I
stole it because I had nothing better to do. I still have it, but I don't know what to do with it. Burn it or frame it? How did I read this when I was 12? I didn't understand most of it, and the rest was disgusting. Here are some reasons why the narrator deserves to be punched in the face: He used to get drunk and provoke random men with homophobic
insults. He wanted to get beaten up, and he enjoyed it. He stopped when he almost died. He moved on to a new game: hurting women. He said: I liked hurting girls.[...]The thing is, I got off on it. I really enjoyed it.[...]And it was legal. I think I killed a few of them. Their souls I mean.
That was how the book started. His main hobby was emotionally abusing women. His method was:➱ Have backups. When one leaves, move on to the next The Diary of an Oxygen Thief is a novel by an anonymous author that tells the story of a man who enjoys hurting women emotionally.
He uses his charm and charisma to make them fall in love with him, and then he humiliates and insults them with cruel words. He takes pleasure in seeing their reactions of pain, sadness, or anger. He does not care about their feelings, only his own satisfaction. He treats them as objects, not as human beings. He does this to many women, including
one he was with for four years. He blames her for his behavior, and thinks she is out to get him. He is a narcissist who thinks the world revolves around him. He is also paranoid and delusional, imagining that his exes are plotting against him. He is an unreliable narrator who cannot be trusted. He tries to justify his actions by mentioning some
childhood trauma, but he does not show any remorse or empathy. He is a twisted and selfish person who does not deserve your sympathy. The Diary of an Oxygen Thief is a controversial novel by an anonymous author. It tells the story of a man who enjoys hurting women emotionally. He is an alcoholic, a misogynist, and a narcissist. He has no
remorse for his actions and blames his past for his behavior. He body shames, slut shames, and physically assaults women. He is unhappy with his life until he meets Aisling, a young and smart woman from Dublin. He falls in love with her, but he does not know that she is just like him. target This book was neither good nor bad for me. I was intrigued by the story and the way the narrator behaved and spoke. I also enjoyed the writing style. I was conflicted when I learned this book was based on real events. Part of me was curious and part of me was disgusted. The main character reminded me of a sleazy guy from a movie. 3-stars-
mediocre audiobook not-romance May 28, 2022 This book should not have been published. August 29, 2016 Zero stars. This book is awful. I hate to write such harsh reviews but this is the worst book I have ever read. I was shocked by the number of young people who wanted to read this book. It is a glorified account of a cruel and selfish person who
harms others without guilt and portrays himself as a martyr (which is a lie). This is not a story of a wounded person who needs to find love. This is the story of a broken person who chooses to hurt others because of his own pain, and expects you to pity him. Do not give this book to anyone. July 16, 2018 If you liked the twisted and psychological story
of Gone Girl, you might like this one too. The Oxygen Thief is similar to Amy Dunne in his ability to inflict pain on others. He is not as good at ruining lives, but he is good at getting away with it. Diary of an Oxygen Thief is written as a real diary by an anonymous author. The story begins in London. He is an alcoholic who finds out he loves emotionally
abusing women. He says: "... I found my purpose in life. ... They say the sea is actually black and that it only reflects the blue sky above. That was me. I let you see yourself in my eyes. I did you a favor. I listened and listened and listened. You stored yourself in me. Nothing had ever felt so right to me. To be honest, I still miss hurting. I'm not over it,
but I don't try to destroy like I used to." Some possible ways to continue the response are: - I hope this paraphrased version meets your requirements. If you need any further assistance, please let me know. - This is how I would paraphrase the article. Do you have any feedback or suggestions for improvement? I would love to hear from you. -
Thank you for using my paraphrasing service. I have tried to make the text clearer and more concise, as well as avoid any sensational or spammy words. How do you like the result? This book made me hate 'Anonymous' more than any other character I've ever read. He said: "People kill each other because they like it. It's that simple. To hurt
someone deeply, you need to have been hurt yourself.
Hurt people are better at hurting others." pg 9 ebook. I almost gave up on this book, but I got curious about the Oxygen Thief and his diary of women. I even felt some pity for him when he joined AA and moved to the Mid-West. He was clueless about the American culture: "There is a law that says you have to keep your lawn tidy or your neighbors can
sue you. I didn't know that and I wanted to let my gardens go wild. A friendly knock on my door stopped me." pg 34 ebook. He said "gardens" instead of "lawns".
How cute. His fate was sealed by a gorgeous woman he met in AA: "She's evil," the blonde warned me. She had seen how this girl could ruin guys. She stared at me too long. I didn't take her seriously. I should have." pg 50 ebook. I also discovered something about the biology of love and pain: "When someone is emotionally hurt, the fat around the
heart thins and exposes it. A strong punch can bruise the heart. When the person gains weight again, the heart stays bruised and can cause aortic fibrillation. It's not deadly, but it's unpleasant." pg 85 ebook. Interesting. This book has no likable characters, but it's hard to stop reading.
I gave it three stars for being engaging. I was appalled by the Oxygen Thief's actions and consequences. No wonder people are bitter if there are people like him. I did some research This book is written by an anonymous author who tells his story of being a manipulative and abusive alcoholic. He enjoys inflicting pain on women and then feeling sorry
for himself. He breaks up with his long-term girlfriend Pen and then meets a woman who turns the tables on him. He suffers from her revenge and tries to win her back.
The book is a diary, so the writing style is erratic and lacks a clear plot. The author has sold the film rights for this book. Some readers find the book fascinating and insightful, while others find it disgusting and boring. It is a book for those who like dark and twisted stories or who have experienced similar situations. The book is called 'The Diary of an
Oxygen Thief'.
The book **The Diary of an Oxygen Thief** is about a man who abuses women emotionally for fun after his ex-girlfriend dumps him. He makes them fall for him and then breaks their hearts. He joins AA and moves to Minnisota, but he hates his life there.
He meets Aisling in New York, a woman who he falls for instantly. They have a brief relationship, but she is cold to him. He moves to New York for her, but he finds out that she hates him and uses him for her art project. He feels humiliated and betrayed. I hated the main character and felt no pity for him. He had no reason to hurt others, and he was
the cause of his own misery. He whines about his life most of the time and obsesses over Aisling. The relationship was poorly developed and he ignored the warnings about her. Some people may like this book because it shows the mind of an abuser and a disturbed person, or because it has a karma theme. But I think the book was poorly written, the
plot was chaotic, the character was awful, and many parts of the story were irrelevant or illogical. I read this book because it was popular on booktok, but I wish I didn't. It was a waste of time.. This novel tells the story of two damaged people who fall in love and hurt each other. He is an alcoholic, she is a photographer's assistant. They meet in a big
city and their relationship is full of lies and manipulation. Diary of an Oxygen Thief is a realistic, funny, and sad novel that shows how we treat each other and how we let ourselves be treated. The author is anonymous, which adds to the mystery and realism of the story.
Some possible reasons for anonymity are: * The author chose to publish under that name * The story is based on a traditional tale without a known author * The story is related to a religious text without a specific author If the authorship is just unknown, the book should be credited to Unknown. readers:December 30, 2023The app crashed when I tried to write a review, so here's a summary of what I wanted to say:- I thought this book was more popular, there are hardly any reviews!- I liked this book even though it's dark and cynical and the characters are terrible (what does that say about me lol)- I liked the anonymity of the author, I
couldn't tell if this was a real story or not - It was a bit slow but it was short so it didn't matter - It's basically a story about a bad person being outsmarted by another bad person (I think, sometimes it was hard to follow because it was just thoughts) I might read it again in a year, but not soon! The sequel seems similar so I might check it outNovember
13, 2023I guess it depends on what kind of books you like. I loved this book and I didn't find it boring, I read it in one sitting. It made me laugh and almost cry and it was very interesting.December 17, 2023TERRIBLE. The first two pages are good, the next ten pages are okay and the rest is awful. ANOTHER overrated tiktok book that doesn't deserve
the hypeDecember 5, 2023This novel has a horrible protagonist and very graphic scenes, it's a disturbing book that balances between being deep and being disgusting. It's a captivating read, you see how low the protagonist can go as he tells his crimes and punishments. I'm surprised this book is not more popular, it reminds me of other shocking
classics like A Clockwork Orange and Lolita (and maybe even The This book is a fictional memoir of a man who admits to being a misogynist and a sociopath. He treats women horribly and rationalizes his actions with twisted logic. The book is not for the faint of heart, as it contains graphic scenes of violence and abuse. Some readers found the book
funny and honest, while others found it disturbing and repulsive. The book is also confusing and vague at times, leaving the reader wondering what is real and what is not. The book explores themes such as addiction, trust, and paranoia, but it does not offer any resolution or redemption. The book is a short read, but not a pleasant one.
The diary of an oxygen thief is a controversial and provocative book that will elicit strong reactions from readers.. The author of this book is self-absorbed. I usually enjoy dark and edgy stories, but this one was a waste of time. It was a boring and pointless rant of a narcissist. It had no originality or purpose. January 14, 2024 This book is messed up
