II BACKGROUND
It was found that social media platforms that gives visual perception are more prone to
people whom perceives them much more in social media platforms rather than textual
platforms. Editing one’s picture to post gains much more negative effects on body image.
Comments whom praise the content of one’s post becomes an ideal way of posting
more of the same content. With great determination to learn more of this study and give
an answer towards the influence of social media on Body Image perception of the youth.

III OBJECTIVES
General: Behind the Filter, how young adults perceives body image.
Specific: How young adults perceive body image through the influence of Social
Media.

IV METHOD
We will be using a mixed-method of gathering data through this research.

V ASSUMPTIONS
• The expected outcome of this study is to figure out how does a group of young adults
react or perceive body image that is influenced by social media.
• The expected outcome of this research study should have a larger percentage of
positive response especially how empathy is revolving in this generation of young
adults.
