5. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

MOUNTING OF MACHINES ON THE BASE

Each machine is provided with:

1 Plate that brings its axis to the standard height (112 mm).
2 Two plates for fixing to the base of the machine.
3 Four screws for fixing the machine. It is recommended not to remove the screws to avoid
disaligment of the machine, that has already been factory calibrated.
4 Coupling joint.

MOUNTING OF THE ACCESSORIES

All accessories (butt, strap, etc.) are provided with machine-fixing flasks.
These flasks have to operate as shown in the next figure.

Working position
When the screw is being tightened, check that the flask (2) is against the sides of the guides so
that, by tightening the screw, the flask (2) will block the motor’s plate on the guides.

COUPLING OF THE MACHINES

¾¾ The coupling of the machines is as shown in the next figure:

For a proper alignment of the machines and a silent operation, it is suggested to keep a distan-
ce of 18 mm. between the two half joints.
This measure may be checked with a scale, and may vary by ±1 mm. Either a greater or a smal-
ler distance may wear the rubber, in case of continuous operation of the
machines.

ALIGNMENT OF TWO MACHINES

Insert the first machine on the base.
Loosen the 4 screws to facilitate the insertion of the guides "A" in the guides "B" (see Fig.1 and

If the base is not immediately installed, it can be stored in a dry room and in an area that is free
from vibrations.

Long term storage

If the base has to be stored for a large period of time, it has to be stored in a well ventilated,

to the base. Take precautions in case of extreme weather conditions or in humid environments
with salt and/or dust.
Choose a storage place that is flood-proof, dry and vibration free. Before storing, repair any
possible damage to the packaging, if this is necessary for proper storage. If necessary, place
the base on pallets, wooden beams or foundations to ensure protection against soil moisture.
Prevent that a collapse occur on the floor. Do not obstruct the air circulation.
