PREFACE

This fmployee Handbook has been designed to provide every employee with policies and procedures of

Sarthak Educational Trust(here in after called Sarthak) so that she/he understands how does she/he

sUCceed within broad framework of ethical behavior. Guidelines and policies contained in this handbook

explain the working conditions, service benefits, and other conditions affecting engagement &

employment with Sarthak

These guidelines apply to all employees of Sarthak Educational Trust. Employees are encouraged to

read, understand and comply with the provisions of this handbook. It supersedes all previous employee
handbooks that may have been issued from time to time on topics covered in this handbook. These

policies are subject to change at any given point of time at the whole discretion of the Management and

intimation of the same will be given as and when the changes are made.

ABOUT SARTHAK

Sarthak Educational Trust is dedicated to bring about positive changes in the lives of PwDs of various

categories through intervention, inclusion, skill development and employment.

EARLY INTERVENTION

Early intervention initiatives focus on "systematic and planned effort to promote development (of an

affected child) through a series of manipulations of environmental or experiential factors initiated

the first five years of life". It also aims at the provision of support (and resources) to families of

both directly and indirectly on parent, family and child functioning.

through sensitization of various stakeholders (principals, teachers, parents, peer groups and others) and

remedial classes for children.

SKILL DEVELOPMENT & SUSTAINABLE EMPLOYMENT

Sarthakhas presence in 15 different locations in India catering to the needs of persons of disability of 18
to 30 years of age its skill

Ghaziabad & Pune), HSBC Swades Foundation (West Delhi), Cognizant Foundation (Kolkata), SBI

Foundation (Faridabad), Mahindra Financial Services (Bhopal), and Ambalacentre.

At these centers 11000PWDshave been trained, in addition 14000PwDshave been provided with gainful

employment in retail, hospitality, IT-ITes, manufacturing., banking and other sectors of the economy.

These placements have been done through a) job fairs, b) placement of Sarthak trainees and c) direct

placement of PwDs, in general (who do not require training but only employment support).

ADVOCACY

Other than initiatives for introducing a positive change through intervention, inclusive education, skill

development, and sustainable employment, Sarthak is also actively engaged in bringing a change in

terms of awareness building and sensitization of various stakeholders namely government bodies, non

government organizations, corporate entities through round table conferences, regular & periodic

sensitization workshops, and annual national conferences.Sarthak has organized 100+ Advocacy Events,

Keeping in consideration the facets of sustained growth, employee satisfaction and organizational

efectiveness, Sarthak Educational Trust follows a Human Resource Policy. This policy encompasses the

policies and procedures tollowed within the organization and are in line with the vision, mission and

value-system of the organization.

JOINING FORMALITIES

BASIC TRAINING PROGRAMME (INDUCTION)


A three day training program is conducted for all new appointees wherein, employees are exposed
