In this guide, I will share with you a few secrets about how I grew 10,000
followers in ONE MONTH on Instagram.

First, let's get a few things straight:


What I DIDN'T do:
- I didn't buy followers
- I didn't do the "follow unfollow" method
- I didn't join engagement groups
- I didn't participate in giveaways

What I DID do:


- I did create a posting schedule and stuck to it
- I did batch my content ahead of time so that I could be consistent
- I did post specific content directed toward my target audience
- I did provide value in every post

GETTING CLARITY ON YOUR NICHE


The reason you hear this piece of advice all the time is that IT IS A
NECESSARY STEP. It’s also something people assume they already did or
know how to do.

What is a "niche"?:
A specialized segment of the market for a particular kind of product or service.

LET'S DEFINE YOUR NICHE.

First, what is YOUR specialized segment of the market? (This is the


BROAD topic you post about: fitness, fashion, travel, etc.)

Next, define what “for a particular kind of product or service” looks like.

What kind of [INSERT BROAD TOPIC]:


Who is my message for?:

An example a COMPLETE niche would look like this:


At-home fitness for busy moms

[what kind of] [broad niche] [for who?]

"Do I need to pick a niche?"


The short answer? Yes.

The long answer? For Instagram specifically, picking a niche is necessary.


If you don't want to pick a niche, you will have better luck on TikTok or
YouTube where their algorithms are more flexible to a variety of topics.

Basically, if you want rapid growth on Instagram you do have to pick a niche
and talk about topics consistently within that niche to see success.

Why? The algorithm was designed to look at your account AS A WHOLE


and fit your account into a specific category of content so they know who to
push your content to.

If you talk about a variety of topics (food, beauty, fashion, skincare, etc.)
you will confuse the algorithm since that's not how it was designed to work.

As redundant these tips may be, you will NOT be able to grow
if you try to skip these steps.

COMMUNICATE BRAND & VALUE


There is a lot that goes into defining your brand, but what we're going to
focus on is figuring out who you are, what value do you have to offer, and
your "brand aesthetic".

When you can communicate these three things in a clear, clean, and/or
aesthetic way, utilizing SEO, you're going to put yourself at an advantage.

What do you want to be known for?


What is your title?
(make sure this is search friendly!)

What benefit does someone gain from


following you? What value are you giving to
them for free?

While some people say "aesthetic isn't as important


these days"...it sure does help having a CLEAN or
CLEAR feed

Can someone glance at your feed and in 3-seconds


clearly see the value you provide? Does it match your
bio?

CREATE A PLAN
Now that you have the foundation set,
it's time to start taking action

CONSISTENCY
It's time to create your posting cadence: how often you post and what
content you will be posting. The type of content you focus on will be
dependant on your goals:

sharable in-feed
IG rooms graphics lives posts

collab DM's
reels stories

...if you want to grow ...if you want to increase


on Instagram engagement

Since this guide is all about the growth you will focus on:

Reels - the #1 best way to get in front of new eyes


IG Rooms - going live with other people in your niche to reach their audience
Sharable graphics - encourage your followers to share your content reaching
more people
Collaborations - the 'collab' feature where you and another creator can share a
post together! (different from brand collabs)

CREATE A PLAN
Now that you have the foundation set,
it's time to start taking action

CONSISTENCY
You don't have to do ALL types of content. Pick 2-3 that you can dedicate
most of your time to (yes, one of your content types must be Reels to see
the best results).

This was my schedule when I grew 10,000 in 30 days:

Stories: DAILY
Reels: DAILY
Graphics: 3 x WEEK
LIVE: 1 x WEEK
with another creator

The ultimate super power.

PREDICTING AUDIENCE BEHAVIOR


If you know your Target Audience inside-out like you know your best friend,
creating content that will help you grow will be easy.

What is a 'Target Audience'?:


a specific group of people you want to reach and serve.

How to identify your Target Audience? Answer these questions...


What is their age range?
Where are they located?
What are their interests?
What problems are they currently facing?
How can you help them with those problems?
What are their recent 5 searches on Google or YouTube?

That last question is KEY. If you can predict accurately what your target
audience is already searching for online, and then you create content
ANSWERING their questions, you've hit the jackpot. These are my favorite

USE SEO TO YOUR ADVANTAGE


If you're anything like me, the word 'SEO' might scare you or feel
intimidating. But believe me when I say Instagram SEO is easy peasy
because all you have to do is place your "keywords" throughout your profile!

What is SEO?:
a type of strategy you can use to get in front of even more people. It stands for
'Search Engine Optimization.'

What are keywords?:


ideas and topics that define what your content is about. Words and phrases that
searchers enter into search engines.

These are the 6 places you can utilize the power of keywords and SEO to
your advantage:
1. Username
2. Nameplate
3. Bio
4. Hashtags
5. Captions
6. Alt-text

NOW WHAT?
You've learned the five steps I took to grow 10,000 followers
in 30 days...now what?!

When you want to grow on Instagram, it's important to take a step back
and create a plan of attack.

I saw the most growth when I stopped posting "just to post" and took a
week off to prep my account and strategically plan out my content.

Final tips:

- Know exactly WHO you are posting for and how you can provide
value to them

- If you're not feeling Inspired look up your niche on YouTube or


Pinterest and see what other people are creating (don't copy! use
the topics as fuel for inspiration)

- Understand that your worth is not defined by your number of


followers.
