SCAVENGER HUNT
Introduction:
Welcome to the "Where's Mojo?" scavenger hunt! This printable resource is designed to promote
teamwork and problem solving skills among your students while having a blast searching for Mojo, the
elusive character hidden throughout the school. This exciting activity will engage students in a series of
quests that require collaboration and clever thinking. Teachers and administrators will play a vital role in
guiding students through the challenges and presenting them with clues for their next adventure.
Additionally, language teachers can infuse the activity with language specific steps to offer an excellent
opportunity for language practice.

Step 1: Preparing the Scavenger Hunt

Print out "Where's Mojo?" scavenger hunt instructions, ensuring there's enough for each
student group participating in the activity.

Select or create images of Mojo to be hidden around the school. Each group should have a
unique image for them to find.

Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to create short "quests" or challenges that
will provide students with the next clue as they progress through the scavenger hunt (See
student instructions for examples and edit as needed).

Step 2: Introducing the Scavenger Hunt

Gather all participating students and introduce them to the "Where's Mojo?" scavenger hunt.
Explain the purpose of the activity, emphasising the importance of teamwork and
problem-solving skills.

Distribute the scavenger hunt instructions to each group and brief them on the basic rules and
guidelines of the game.
Step 3: Hiding Mojo and Starting the Hunt
With the help of other teachers and administrators, hide the images of Mojo at various locations
around the school.

Provide each group with their first clue or quest card, leading them to the initial location where
they will find their first Mojo image.

Step 4: The Scavenger Hunt Quests

As students progress through the scavenger hunt, they will encounter short "quests" prepared
by other teachers/administrators. These quests should challenge students to solve puzzles,
answer riddles, or complete fun tasks to receive their next clue.

Step 5: Finding Mojo and Celebrating

Once a group successfully finds Mojo at the final location, gather all the students together for a
celebratory moment.

Encourage students to share their experiences and the challenges they faced during the
scavenger hunt.

Alternative ideas:
For language teachers, incorporate language-specific instructions, riddles, or tasks into the
quests to provide students with additional language practice. (Tip: the teacher/student
instructions for this activity are already available in French, Portuguese, and Turkish on Mojo’s
Activity Corner).
Encourage students to use the target language while communicating and
collaborating during the scavenger hunt.
