7 Mrs Lee used 5 kg of flour to make p cakes and 8 kg of flour to make q loaves of
bread. Write an algebraic expression to show the amount of flour needed to make
one cake and one loaf of bread, in kg.

8 Jacky has p photo albums with each album containing q photos. Shahrul has m
photo albums with each album containing n photos. Find the total number of photos
both the boys have.

9 k students each from nine Form One classes donated RMx each and f students
each from eight Form Two classes donated RMq each to the Palestinian Fund and an
old folks’ home. If of the fund is donated to the Palestinian Fund, find the amount
which is donated to the old folks’ home, in RM.

10 m teachers and p students went camping. Each teacher brought t packets of instant
noodles and each student brought q packets of instant noodles. After three days,
20 packets of instant noodles were left. Write an algebraic expression for the number
of packets of instant noodles that were eaten.
