I. GOBLET CELL EPITHELIUM

HISTOLOGIC LAYER OF GOLET CELL EPITHELIUM

Normal epithelial cells (they don’t secrete); these are goblet cells at rest and are not capable of secreting.

Cells secrete watery fluid
Mucin or mucoid secretion

II. GLANDULAR EPITHELIUM

Shape of glandular epithlium - either tube-like or saccular - the cells are also capable of secretion.
Unlike goblet cell epithelium, all cells in gladular epithelium secrete cells.

Goblet cells - don’t form organs
Glandular - forms an organ
Triangular in shape - tapos bubukas ang apex to release secretion
