NARRATIVE REPORT ON CONDUCT OF ALTERNATE DELIVERY MODE-OPEN

HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM (ADM- OHSP) ORIENTATION

In order to understand the policies and guidelines of Alternative Delivery

Mode- Open High School Program (ADM- OHSP) the division of Palawan conducted
an Orientation in El Nido NHS, El Nido North District on March 22, 2024 and Paly
NHS, Taytay 1 District on March 23, 2024. The said schools intended to apply to
offer and implement the ADM-OHSP and already have the Permit to Offer as
approved by the Schools Division Superintendent Elsie T. Barrios, PhD. The
orientation was headed by the Division Education Program Supervisor Rodgie S.
Demalinao, purposely to discuss and clarify things relative to Alternative Delivery
Modes particularly the Open High school Program implementation.

The orientation proper started with a short program followed by the

awarding of the Certificate to Offer which was awarded by Rodgie S. Demalinao
representing the Schools Division Superintendent while Hj. Sonny Boy A. Taha,
Division Coordinator of EsP, shared insights and his experiences in the
implementing and monitoring of OHSP while he was the school head of Inil U. Taha
NHS at North Brooke’s Point District.

The first speaker was Rodgie S. Demalinao, he discussed the overview of

Open High School Program and other salient points in the offering of the program.
This was followed by Jonathan B. Araya, Head Teacher-I of Isla Sombrero NHS,
who discussed about the OHSP qualifications and requirements for Enrollment.
Finally, the assessment, monitoring and evaluation were clarified by Eden C.
PALEN, Head Teacher-II of Iraan-Sagpangan NHS. In order to give more concrete
evidence and verifications in the implementation of the program, Edgardo A.
Gonzales, Senior High school Teacher of Central Taytay SHS Stand Alone, shared
the best practices being implemented in their school and also discussed about
implementation and assessment of the SHS-OHSP.

After the discussion, there was an open forum between where the questions
being raised by the audience were clarified. The discussants ensured that all
matters that had been tackled and were cleared to all participants, The activity was
concluded with the commitment of the schools, the community, and the learners to
support and implement fully the program. Hence the DepEd Palawan is also hoping
that everyone will cooperate to have positive outcomes.

Among the participants were the School Heads, ADM-OHSP Coordinators and
Facilitators, Guidance Counselors, Municipal and Barangay Officials, PTA Officers,
parents, learners, parents and other stakeholders.
