presenting the new “who can lead the prayer?.”
lesson "May I request everyone to please stand for our opening
prayer."

Checking of attendance

“Good morning class! To day we are going to explore the

world of Division." (Good morning teacher Mae!)

"Before we proceed to our proper lesson let boost first your

dopamine."
(Teachers will present a video first and let the students sing
and dance.) (Everyone settles down.)

Alright everyone, let's all stand and feel the rhythm of the
song."
(Class listen carefully.)

(Class possible answers.)

“ Wonderful! Now you may take you sits."

(The lesson will start with an Exercise.)
“The previous lesson is all about Multiplication.”
"What do we mean by multiplication?"

" A mathematical operation that

self, or we can also say that multiplication is a repeated
addition."
(The teacher will introduce the new lesson.)

" Moving on to our proper topic we are now going to learn

about division."
" Is any of you here been in a situation where you have to
equally share your snacks or foods? Like cake, pizza or
candies."

"Me teacher"
" Alright. In that situation, how you are going to equally
distribute the foods? What are the method you used or
apply?"
" By using division teacher. "

" Very good. For you to equally share and distribute the
food equally you have to used division. We used division in
our daily living without noticing it. Therefore is it vital to
learn division."
" First, what is Division?"
" Division is a mathematical operation which involves the
sharing of an amount into equal-sized groups."
" There are three main parts to a division problem: the
dividend, the divisor, and the quotient. The dividend is the
number that will be divided. The divisor is the number of
“people” that the number is being divided among. The
quotient is the answer.
B. Establishing a (Teacher will continue the discussion
purpose for the
lesson "For now let's have this situation." (Pupil listen carefully)

5,876 pesos are distributed equally among 26 men. How

much money will each person get?
Solution:

Money received by 26 men = 5876 So, money received by

one man = 5876 ÷ 26

= 226

Each man will get $226.

"Let's have another example."

If 9975 kg of wheat is packed in 95 bags, how much wheat

will each bag contain?
Solution:

Since 95 bags contain wheat 9975 kg

Therefore, 1 bag contains wheat (9975 ÷ 95) kg

= 105 kg

Each bag contains wheat = 105 kg

"Alright! Let's have a board work."

(The teacher will give division problem to the students)

89 people have been invited to a banquet. The caterer is

arranging tables. Each table can seat 12 people. How many
tables are needed?

"Who can write the correct answer on the board?"

( The teacher will select one student to write the solution on

the board.)

" Great job!" To answer this question, we need to divide 89

by 12
89 ÷ 12. Therefore the answer will be 7 with the remainder
of 5."

C. Presenting (Teacher will introduce new example through this example.) Student possible answer
examples/instances
of the new lesson
Let’s take a look on this example.

Nicole has 20 cookies. She wants to divide the 20 cookies

equally between 4 friends. How many cookies does each 5 cookies each Friends
person receive?

D. Discussing new Ask:

concepts and (Student possible answer)
practicing new
skills #1
- What type of a friend Nicole is? "Nicole is a nice kind of friend."
- Do you think you can share your cookies or snacks like "Yes"
Nicole? "Nicole has 4 friends"
- How many Friends Nicole has? "20 cookies"
- How many Cookies Nicole has? "She share it with her friends."
- What did she do with the cookies she has? "Division '
- What operation will be used to solve the problem? "20 cookies and 4 friends.(20 ÷4)
- What could be the number sentence?
- What is the answer? "5 cookies each friend."

20 cookies ÷ 4 friends = 5 cookies each.

E. Developing ( Let as have another problem.) Student possible answer
