It was Saturday evening.

I arrived to Alice’s and James’s

apartment.
The place was a mess, they must have
left in a hurry.

There were plates and glasses on the

table and counter, clothes on the floor
and on the sofa, a bit of dog food on the
floor, pretty weird. Maybe they overslept
and was afraid to miss the flight…

“It would probably be a good surprise if

I cleaned a bit” I thought to myself.
“It’s nice coming home from a vacation
to a clean house, Alice will appreciate it
and anyhow I don’t have anything better
to do”.

I took the dog out for a walk and started

tidying up the place a bit.
I’ve cleaned and arranged all the plates
and glasses, cleaned the floor a , cleaned
the counter and kitchen.
