8.1 SOURCE OF FUNDING

The Portal will be a government project as they are one of the main beneficiaries
of the study. However, as it is situated upon a private property, and surrounded by
privately owned land, the source of funding of the project will be a mix of private and
government funds as it will be the most beneficial for the given conditions. The private
sectors would be the nearby beach resorts and hotels willing to invest and co-own the
project as an extension of their own, therefore benefiting much more local businesses
and the government as well.

8.2 PROBABLE PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COST

Land Acquisition Cost

Located at Banawang, Bagac, Bataan, the chosen site is privately owned and
has a total lot area of 62, 446.00 sqm. The following data are according to the Republic
Act. No. 8947 demonstrating the act to facilitate acquisition of right-of-way, site, or
location for national government infrastructure project.

Note: These land acquisition parameters only apply if the project has no available
source.

8.3 MAINTENANCE SUSTAINABILITY

Being a mixed-funded project, the public and private partnerships have many
ways to earn funds for the maintenance of the facilities. Small percentages from the paid
tours, rentable spaces such as conference rooms and theater, the exhibition halls, and
the outdoor facilities could be used for regular and minor facility maintenance. Since the
spaces will be used quite often, it is necessary to prioritize regular maintenance and
integrity checks for the facilities, especially the spaces with huge floor areas to cover
such as the place for conventions and gatherings.

The building materials that will be used on the facilities and the use of
environmental systems ensure that the project’s consumption efficiency and costing will
make the study cost-effective and require less major maintenance that could last for a
long-span of time.
