Ask the pupils to close their eyes. What do you see?
Write a word on the board. EYES FOR
Will you know what is written on the board? Why?
SEEING
Open your eyes. What do you see now?
Will you read what is written on the board.

Why do you think eyes are important?
Our eyes are important sense organs. We use them for seeing. (Let the pupils feel and
touch the upper and lower part of their eyes). Our eyes are surrounded by bones.
These are the protective walls of our eyes.
The eye is composed of parts that enable us to see. Each part has its own function.

Give some examples on how to take care of your eyes.

- Always read or write in a well-lighted room.

- Rest your eyes by closing them for a few minutes in between readings.
- Avoid holding pointed objects near your eyes.

bacteria. However, there are also cases of eye defects which are sometimes inborn.
