TASK SHEET No.

Title: SOFT ROLLS

Performance Objective: Given the tools, you should be able to bake Soft
rolls by following the standard recipe and
enterprise practices.

Supplies/Materials:

500 g bread flour/ 1st class flour


90 g sugar
7.5 g yeast
15 g powder milk
7.5 g salt
25 g egg yolk
12.5 g BOS
212.5 g water (warm)
30 g butter
30 g margarine
Equipment : Oven

Steps/Procedure:

1. Preheat oven to 250 F.


2. Mix together sifted flour, sugar, yeast and powder milk.
3. In a separate bowl mix water, salt, egg yolk, BOS and margarine.
4. Beat all together the dry ingredients and wet ingredients using
dough hook.
5. Add butter.
6. Form the dough into balls. 30 g each.
7. Cover and leave for an hour.
8. Bake for 20-30 mins.
