Wines & Spirits Sales Assistant

Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Wines & Spirits Sales Assistant to
join our team at our new outlet in Swieqi. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in
providing exceptional customer service, promoting our range of wines and spirits, and
maximizing sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. *Customer Service:* Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide product recommendations and information about different wines and spirits.
2. *Sales:* Proactively engage with customers to drive sales and meet sales targets. Upsell
and cross-sell products to increase revenue.
3. *Product Knowledge:* Develop a comprehensive understanding of our wines and spirits
inventory. Stay updated on new arrivals, promotions, and industry trends.
4. *Stock Management:* Assist in managing inventory levels by restocking shelves,
conducting regular stock checks, and ensuring products are correctly priced and labelled.
5. *Visual Merchandising:* Maintain attractive product displays and ensure the cleanliness
and tidiness of the store.
6. *Cash Handling:* Process transactions accurately using POS systems. Handle cash and
card payments securely.
7. *Compliance:* Adhere to all legal regulations regarding the sale of alcohol, including age
verification procedures.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in a wines and spirits
environment.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Excellent customer service abilities with a proactive approach to sales.
4. Passion for wines and spirits with a desire to continuously expand product knowledge.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
7. Knowledge of POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling.
