Assessment : Group presentation

Presentation date : 25 March 2024 to 1 5 April 2024

Word Length : at least 300 words, 5 mins speech

Weightage : 20 % (Individual assessment)

Group presentation task:

You are supposed to choose one of the works of scholar belonging to


either Renaissance1 or 2 in Central Asia or Jadidizm movement to
present their scientific heritage and treasure with given questions
below in their works:

• How does the work we chose affect my personal growth?

• Why is the value of this work still high today?

• What do I consider to be important aspects for me in the process of


reading this work?

• Why do I consider it necessary for other students to familiarize


themselves with this work?

General guideline:

Students are strongly advised to use Power Point slides or Canva!

• Guidelines for Introduction


Introduction: You should give a brief outline of yourself, then about the
work (at least 50 words, this should include the general info about the work
of scholar).

Main part (at least 300 words. In addition, pictures of the work, slides,
animations or illustrations as well);
This section includes the context for the study and an overview of relevant
information according to the questions. Each student should answer for one
/all questions randomly without reading and looking at the data.

Things to note:
Students should be divided into sub-groups with not more than four members in!

1. Assessment Date, Time and Venue

The date and time of your assessment will be chosen and cannot be changed. No make-up
assessment session will be arranged in the event of any absence. Students who miss the Oral
Presentation Assessment will be given a zero grade. Reusing the others presentations will
lead a student to get zero grade.

2. Components for Oral Presentation Assessment

You will be required to give an oral presentation of your research work to your assessor. You
have 5 -6 minutes to give your oral presentation. Prepare for and practice your oral
presentation in advance to ensure that you are able to keep within the time limit allocated.
The assessor reserves the right to end the presentation should you exceed the time limit.

3. Presentation Slides

You may prepare your presentation slides using PowerPoint or any equivalent presentation
software. Do ensure that the text and slides in your presentation are clear and legible.
