Level: 6to “E” Should we create more diverse residential areas, where rich people live next to poorer people instead of in separate communities? We have created the social class divide ourselves, so there is no denying that there is a big difference between people who are rich and people who are poor. From my point of view, even though this distinction exists, we should try to reduce it and try to live more with poorer people, to know why they became poor or why they cannot succeed and to understand their situation by getting a little involved in their lives. According to several studies conducted by INEC, 50% of the population in Ecuador belongs to the lower social class. This is worrying and at the same time sad because perhaps many of these people want to succeed but for various reasons have not been able to do so. I think it is a good idea to create residential areas where people of any social class can live together, because we will support each other and people will be more careful when spending money, which is often spent on unnecessary things. We will also help low- income people to get to know people who can provide them with work, and so little by little we will continue to create ties so that we can form an inclusive society full of opportunities, without looking down on anyone. In conclusion, building or creating a residential area for all social classes, would be the first step to begin to change this division of social classes that has long been present in our country.
