COMPARING TWO CITIES:

Xalapa and Veracruz are two cities I have lived in and

they tend to have some similarities based on the people’s
lifestyle and other economic factors. Although both are
large cities, Veracruz, with 247.9 km2, is bigger than
Xalapa, 124.4 km2; however, Veracruz is smaller in
population. The two cities also have a wide range of
tourist attractions, and that shows how they will have
multiple visitors that want to enjoy the different sites.
Hence, it will be more likely to find a large multitude of
people in the public spaces that will be finding a place to
visit.
Veracruz has a professional soccer team that usually plays on Friday night. It attracts to a
huge number of soccer fans since teams as popular as America, Chivas, Cruz Azul or UNAM
come to visit the local team. Instead of this, Xalapa has some of the best museums and art
galleries in the state that also attract many people that want to enjoy a cultural experience.
On the other hand, Veracruz is a more expensive city to live in that Xalapa. In Veracruz you
can find some of the most beautiful malls of the state, with
very prestigious stores on them. In Xalapa you might also find
fancy stores, but the prices are not as expensive as Veracruz’s
ones. But Xalapa is not just shopping. It has a lot of charming
streets and alleys you have to visit. In addition, Xalapa’s
surrounds are beautiful too, for example, Coatepec, Xico,
Teocelo, San Marcos, etc. For instance, Veracruz has more
contemporary structures than Xalapa. In fact, Veracruz has the
biggest buildings in the state but, the same city also has great
places to do recreational activities. Hence, the city is more
popular than Xalapa and one might benefit from the various
attraction centers in the region as well. In essence, Xalapa is as
nice as Veracruz, and they have various similar sceneries in
order to have fun, but the weather is a bit different in each city and one needs to consider
that.
In conclusion, Xalapa and Veracruz have many differences despite having some similarities
one of the biggest cities within our state. The cities are attractive to people owing their
different features and characteristics. However, the attractions, building styles, activities
you can do and the weather spell how vastly different the cities are.
