To Whom It May Concern:

Over the last 3 years I have had the pleasure of getting to know Damien Ruiz, an extraordinary
young man with great potential. Since August of 2021, Damien has been a student in my World
and U.S. History class in his sophomore and junior year but as a senior - served as a TA and
student mentor. He has alway given one hundred percent to every assignment, exam and project.
Consequently he averaged an “A” in four semesters of history with myself. In fact Damien has
been successful academically in all his classes, maintaining a 3.79 grade point average and
making the honor roll during his high school career.

While attending El Capitan, Damien has completed his CTE Pathway in Marketing but after
completing high school Damien envisions himself attending Merced College and where he plans
to pursue a AA - his end goal is to transfer to a school that will allow him to pursue Architectural
Design .Furthermore, he also has ambitions to be a public servant and would like to someday
even be mayor of Merced.

Damien’s abilities are numerous but what makes him such a wonderful person is his personality.
Damien is an honorable young man who is mature and respectful to all individuals. In the years
to come I am certain Damien will be successful in any school, career or endeavor he chooses in
life.
