Deforestation

Azra Yüksel
What is Deforestation?
Soil Erosion

Soil erosion is the elimination of the

upper layer of the soil. Disasters like
landslides happen because of this.
Furthermore, it is responsible for
floods. As trees are not present to stop
the water. This results in damaging
colonies that people live
Global Warming

Global warming is the main cause of

the change in environment. Seasons are
getting delayed. The tempratures are
reaching its extreme points and this
results in the loss of ice sea, melting
glaciers and sea levels rising.
A Great Threat to
Wildlife
Deforestation is affecting the wildlife as
well. Many animals like Dodo, Sabre-
toothed Cat, Tasmanian Tiger are
already extinct. Some animals are on
the verge of extinction. That’s because
they have lost habitat or their place of
living.
Impact on the Water
Cycle

Trees release soil water into the

environment. Thus cutting them is
decreasing the rate of water in the
atmosphere. So clouds are not getting
formed. As a result the agricultural
grounds are not receiving proper
rainfall. Thus indirectly affecting
humans.
