PHOTOSHOP
Vector graphics are composed of solid lines, curves and other geometric shapes that are
defined by a set of mathematical instructions. Vector images work best for type and other
shapes that require clear crisp boundaries.
Raster images work best with photographs. Raster graphics are comprised of a raster (a
grid) of small squares called pixels. Objects in Photoshop are groups of many pixels – each of
which can be a different color. Raster images require more memory and storage than vector
images. Photoshop is a memory-hungry program.

VARIOUS EFFECTS
Photoshop effects & Color Correction: You can use Photoshop to adjust colors in your
image. You can change someones hair from blond to red or you can adjust the tone of an
image to correct for age or imperfections in the scanning process. You can lighten an image,
make it darker, or add a sparkle to that special someones eyes!
Most every time you scan an image in, till need color correction. Color photographs will
always need color correction. PhotoShop does a good job of correcting for scanner
deficiencies, and often it can do the whole job in just one step!
When you correct for scanning deficiencies, mostly you’ll adjust the PhotoShops Levels,
which refer to color levels. Color Levels range from 100% white, to 100% black. Usually
when there are scanning problems, there is too much white, but sometimes there are other
problems caused by the scanner itself.
If you can give the effects in photographs than always use Image - adjustment - Color
Adjustment, Photoshop tools & filters. Images do not always come exactly as you wish to use
them.
You may need to do some cropping, adjust their colors or luminosity (brightness), change
their size (resolution), or modify their content.

BROCHURE
Brochures are made of multiple sheets most often saddle stitched (stapled on the creased
edge) or "perfect bound" like a paperback book, and result in eight panels or more.
The three different sizes that are considered standard by brochure printing companies are
8-1/2” x 11” (standard page size), 8-1/2” x 14” (legal page size), and 11” x 17”.
A brochure acts as communication between you and the reader, letting the reader know
what you can do for them. The brochure also represents you when you are not there, and
should do that in the best possible way.

Design two and three fold brochure and paste the print screen.

NEWSPAPER
Broadsheet papers tend to employ a traditional approach to news that emphasizes in-depth
coverage and a sober tone in articles and editorials. Broadsheet readers often tend to be
fairly affluent and educated.

broadsheets are typically 14 inches wide and 22 inches long, as opposed to a tabloid, which
is usually 11 X 17 inches.
Tabloid: It is a newspaper of small format giving the news in condensed form, usually with
illustrated, often sensational material.
The tabloid paper size is 11 × 17 inches & tabloid extra paper size is 12 x 18 inches.
