Introduction
CE-marking
Rototilt is CE-marked, which means that it is
designed, manufactured and described in accordance
with EU directives. If Rototilt is converted,
supplemented with other products or used within an
area of application not approved for the product, this
labelling ceases to be valid.
General
Read through the manual carefully and make sure
you understand the contents before using Rototilt.
Careless or incorrect use may result in serious, even
life-threatening injury.
Pay attention to the safety instruction in this
publication to protect Rototilt and prevent personal
injuries.
Read and pay attention to all warning stickers found
on Rototilt.
Do not let untrained personnel handle, repair or carry
out maintenance on Rototilt.
In addition, reference is made to the base machine’s
safety instructions.
Before use
• Check that there is nobody within the risk area
for the base machine before beginning use.
During use
• Never stand under a lifted tool.
After use
• Always park Rototilt with a tool mounted and
directed towards the ground.
Never park Rototilt hanging in the air.
See: The base machine’s instructions for
parking
During maintenance
Warning! For service, maintenance or
other work on Rototilt, always disconnect
the electrical contact and all hydraulic
hoses connected to the base machine. Risk
of personal injury. Be careful!

Fastening
Fastening Rototilt to the base machine’s shaft can be
done in two ways.
Fig1: Fastening to the machine tool attachment.
Fig 2: Direct attachment to the machine shaft.
For fastening to the machine’s tool attachment,
See: The base machine manual for this function
Fig 1 Fig 2
Tilt cylinder
Tilt cylinders are available in two designs for certain
models. Single-action (fig 3) and double-action
cylinders (fig 4). Some of the models are only
equipped with one double-action cylinder.
Fig 3
Fig 4
Swivel
The swivel function is to transport oil from the
control valve down to the tool attachment.
Rotor
Consists of worm transmission with unlimited
rotation in both directions. The worm transmission is
self-locking and functions as a brake during
excavation. The transmission works in an oil bath
and operated with a low-speed hydraulic motor.
Tool attachment
Attachment with hydraulic lock function makes it
possible to change tools simply.

The stickers below are of vital importance for safety 2. 4.
when handling Rototilt. Ensure that the warning
stickers are always legible.
1. Warning sticker, tool change, location in
machine cab.
2. Warning sticker, risk zone for personal injury. 2
3. Warning sign, lock cylinder function.
4. Warning sticker, grapple module.
4 3
Rototilt, ON/OFF
The electrical control system is connected to and
from the switch. To control the various functions on
Rototilt, the switch must be in the ON position.
The lock function locks the switch in both the OFF
and ON position. The lock function will prevent
mistakes in the event of involuntary activation.

Cleaning
Keep Rototilt clean and free of stones, grit, etc. to
avoid damage to tilt cylinders, valves, electrical
cabling, hydraulic hoses, etc.
When cleaning Rototilt, avoid high pressure washes
against electrical components and sealings between
the rotor and attachment. High pressure washing can
grind dirt in and cause serious damage. See figure.
Spare parts
Spare parts can be ordered from your dealer.
Always state Rototilt type and manufacture number
according to the type name plate
Welding
Dismantle Rototilt from base machine to avoid
damage to electronic components.
Before any welding work on Rototilt, always contact
your authorised service workshop.
Refuse
When changing oil in the rotor house, a collection
vessel must be used to avoid oil spills. Be careful
when changing hydraulic components - use a
collection vessel.
Important!
BE CAREFUL OF NATURE!
Daily
• Pay attention to visible defects to Rototilt
• Check that there is no oil leakage
• Check that all stickers are in place and legible
• Follow the specified maintenance intervals
• Lubricate Rototilt according to the diagram
• Check that there are no signs of damage on
hydraulic hoses
• Check all Rototilt functions
• Check for wear and damage on the wiring on
the boom and stick
• Keep all switches and wiring clean and free
from dirt
• Check that the diodes on the switches in the
cabin are working
2
Inspection every 8 hours of operation
1. Check that play between rotor and equipment 2
mount is not excessive. (Item 1). Rotoilt should
be taken out of service immediately for
maintenance if play is detected. Continued 1
operation when excessive play exists could lead
to expensive subsequent damage.
Inspect the bolt locking

2. Tilt axels
3. Tilt cylinder pins
5
Inspect the bolt locking equipment locking cylinder.
(Don´t concern RT 20)
4. Locking pin.
