Dr. Dee Stokes

Entrepreneur & Educator
SPEAKER BIO/OVERVIEW:
Dr. Dee Stokes is an entrepreneurial educator, minister, consultant, author, and podcaster who serves on the UNC
Charlotte Alumni Board of Directors as well as Triad Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Dr. Stokes has spent over
25 years in higher education as a basketball coach, professor, and administrator. Early in her career, Dr. Stokes
worked at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Texas A&M University, Winthrop University, and the
University of Nebraska as an assistant coach. Stokes was head coach at East Carolina University, Winston-Salem
State University, and Southeastern University. Dr. Stokes has 30 years experience in education and has served at
every level: Pre-K through 8th grade, high school, seminary, 4-year university, and the community college level.
Professor, Bible teacher, principal, mentor, dissertation committee member, coach, and director are all of the titles
Dr. Stokes has held while being an educator.

● This Lunch & Learns is capped at 33 students.
● Do NOT register if you are not sure if you can make it. (Pay attention to the day of the week and other
commitments you may have during FLEX.)
● Students who register should check email to find out if they are actually registered, OR if they have been
put on the waiting list because the cap has been met.
○ Do NOT just show up to the room. Check email for verification. (Check spam/junk folder.)
● Students who are attending will be placed in the Lunch & Learn class for this date in EdFiciency.
● Please be on time! We need to begin as soon as the tardy bell rings.
● Be prepared to ask questions and take part in the Lunch & Learn.
● Email caudlet@davie.k12.nc.us if you registered but CANNOT attend. Someone wants your spot!
